Quoting: mylkaIt's the Wikipedia, feel free to add it againQuoting: GuestObviously, the list is monumentally short compared to DX11 games, but (aside from P-L.G's tweet [External Link]) is there anyone showing this working on a DX12 release title? I know I have at least two (maybe three) titles I can try this—Oops! Nevermind. In pure (non-Proton) Wine, make that five! ;)This article is issued from Wikipedia - version of the 12/4/2016.

I played The Witness, it works great on Linux, and behaves in the same way than on W10. Only issue is that there is a bit of performance penalty which I would like if it were fixed in future releases.
Also other small games, like gta2 works excellent and etc.

Quoting: WendigoValve did a really clever move here to force game developers into cross platform development. Publishers will now have to make sure that their games run on all platforms Steam supports, no matter if they intend it to run there or not since the games were made available everywhere. Even though players get a notice when starting a game via proton I guess quite a few will still down vote a game that doesn't run on Linux or OSX, so the Publishers have 3 choices:that sounds like a dick move from valve
1) Do nothing and get a bad rating that affects their future sales of the game.
2) Make sure their game runs with Proton on all operating systems that Steam supports and hope that a future change in Proton doesn't break the game.
3) Do a proper cross platform port or develop future games with cross platform in mind and have control over the game's performance on Linux and OSX.
I guess the third option is the best choice.

Quoting: NatedawgI think this is great news!but now there is no reason to not buy a game because it doesnt have a linux version, feral business model is in danger.
I can see this discouraging some developers from making a Linux port, but these developers will likely be the same ones who are on the fence about making a Linux port anyway. The ones who have been natively supporting us will likely continue to do so.
Knowing the Linux community, I 'm pretty sure we will still make it a top priority to support publishers like Feral / Aspyr / etc.
We will see how things goes.
