Valve Looks Like It's Removed The SteamOS Icon For Games That Work On Linux, But Not Perfectly On SteamOS
16 Oct 2015 at 6:59 pm UTC Likes: 1

I think than Valve is just setting a quality standard for Linux games, for some reason its only needed on Linux since most of the games on macs and windows works without dramas. Its just not cool than on windows I can install and play anodyne, but on Linux I have to follow a tutorial about how to make that game works on the OS.
So yes, they are just doing what they have to do. And a tux icon would not fix anything, from now on, I would hope than if a game want to claim to support an OS (win, mac, linux or steamos), it should start without annoying workarounds.

Several Sites Publish Their Thoughts On Steam Machines & The Steam Controller

PC Gamer has not relation to PC World. Please fix it.
And so far, the reviews are very cool, the Engadget guy got a $700+ machine so his opinion about it is very good, but the guy on pc world got a $400+ machine, so it has older hardware, thats why he talks not so good about the performance.
And I wonder if the guy on Engadget use the nvidia-specific-launch-option, that would help him getting better performance on SOM.

Magicka 2 Looks Like It Will Have Lower Performance On AMD Cards

What worked best for me is developing on AMD and test stuff very frequently on Nvidia and Intel during development. Developing on Nvidia and make it work on AMD and Intel afterwards was worst.
Maybe this should be the way to do the things, starting with Feral, so they will achieve amd support on their games. It sounds like a better idea to develop on amd and just test on nvidia, after all they respect the opengl specifications.

Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series Looks Like It's Heading To Linux
14 Oct 2015 at 8:04 pm UTC

I have bought all of their recent games, since they are great. This is the first one that hasn't my interest, since I dont like minecraft, and by casuality it will be the 1st one with linux support. Whatever happens, I hope than they will port all their games, at least those that came after TWD.
Still, if the game turns out to be good then I will buy it too, but hopefully this time I will support Linux at the same time.

Valve Is Trolling Us With A New Half-Life 3 Leak

HL2 and ep 1 & 2 are amazing, I cant believe there are people here than haven't played it. They wont be able to know the reason of why HL3 has been waited this long, since the history at the end of ep 2 was very interesting, and then Valve just decided to not release the third part.
Btw, I have spent 50 hours on HL2, its very fun, and maybe because since I played it on a laptop, it runs better on linux than on windows, its a good linux port.
Related to this rumor, its probably false, but would be good if Valve would provide a HL3 copy with each steam machine, it could help it.

Saints Row 2 & 3 Are Being Ported By Virtual Programming
9 Oct 2015 at 3:35 pm UTC

So here goes the chance than saints row 2 could be improved, since this highly unoptimized game is being ported from someone that wont dip in the code to fix the ps3-cpu-related-issues than this game has, I smell performance issues, so I hope to be wrong.
But all the fast activity shown on steamdb only could mean than they were the ones doing the job. Still, its good to have them on Linux.

Don't Count On Any EA Frostbite Powered Games On Linux

Just by the fact than Frostbite will support Vulkan is great. We are not only wanting the success of Linux as a gaming platform, we want Vulkan to be successful too, and Frostbite will help to achieve that last point. Its great than they are looking forward that too.
