I've noticed that it's currently considered much more of a social faux pas to be a do-gooder than a do-badder.
So did I.
A good development, for once.
I'd much rather have more people that are unfriendly and appear dickish, but are honest, than those who "mean well" but only cause more harm.
Yes, you should always strive to hurt people because trying to do good is bound to result in something worse. If you actually believe that, you should start writing scripts for Hollywood my friend. That's the sort of overdramatic silliness you're supposed to leave behind when you grow out of the brooding teenage emo phase.

I can be a dick, but (hopefully) only to people who know my twisted sense of humour and take it as a joke.

The developer of Crazy Justice has shown off a quick teaser of it on Ubuntu

Quoting: JolltI love how they recorded the monitor, more people should do that to get a feel of the game running :D
I bet they thought setting that up would be quicker than learning how to record gameplay on Linux. :)

Or maybe they wanted to avoid the overhead to make it perform as well as possible for the video...

Could some of those reviews be for the significantly less polished original version?
Hmm. Doesn't GOG label early access reviews like Steam does ?
Well, I see three user reviews on GOG. One of them played on PS4, one of them played a pre-release version on Steam and one is just three words repeated over and over. The possibility exists that some of the reviews are for EARTHLOCK: Festival of Magic which was the earlier, less polished version. (I guess GOG allows reviews from people who don't actually own the game in their store.)

All that said, I haven't played the game so the 3.5-star average score might be deserved.

EDIT: The Linux port doesn't seem to be available on GOG.

The developer of rogue-lite metroidvania action-platformer 'Dead Cells' is working on the Linux version

Quoting: tuubiNo proper metroidvania should have randomly/procedurally generated levels. Or permadeath if you ask me. Subjectively speaking, I like a properly designed experience with a clear progression and the repetitive aspect of roguelites almost always just ends up boring me and driving me away.

Dead Cells does look nice despite these drawbacks and I'm definitely interested.
It has procedural levels?
I had to recheck, but it does actually seem to have procedurally generated levels. At least to a degree. Google finds this dev diary [External Link] on the subject.

It's not the things themselves, it's all the outrageous reactions of hypocrites that are funny.
Hypocrites or not, people get offended by all kinds of trivial stuff. The Internet is full of snowflakes, regardless of politics. Although sometimes when your intention is to offend, it's perfectly reasonable to expect people to get offended.

The beat 'em up Bud Spencer & Terence Hill - Slaps And Beans left Early Access recently

Quoting: IperpidoTerence Hill is actually still pretty active, he is the protagonist in a very successful italian TV serie.
I'm quite sure it was never teansmitted outside Italy, but it's pretty successful there. There are something like 11 seasons, and it's still going on.
If you mean Don Matteo, they've shown it in Finland at some point. On one of our state-run broadcaster Yle's channels I think.

This game should be good for a chuckle or two, but probably not worth my money. A decent story might change my mind, but a goat simulator with bums wouldn't do it for me.

The sideshows and comments are almost worth more than the game.
There's a fine line between a crude (but funny) joke and embarrassingly edgy dudebro crap. Offensive things aren't automatically funny unless you're eight years old or just emotionally stunted.

The Steam Hardware Survey had some flaw causing cyber cafes to be over-counting users
10 May 2018 at 8:03 am UTC Likes: 1

Quoting: devnullThat is kind of the point of contention though. I could for example, run without a gpu at all. If the hardware survey popped up then, it would skew the results.
First of all, why would you run Steam on a system without any graphical capabilities (does it even work?), and secondly, do you think this would ever be common enough to cause a significant blip in the statistics? I'm not saying the results are in any way reliable, but surely a few outliers aren't the problem.

Quoting: devnullIt's more common then you think. There's a reason NVIDIA actively tries to prevent such installs.
Why would they care enough to do that? Do you mean that they don't actively support them?
