Quoting: GuestDoesn't GTK just adapt your GTK Theme.
You can make a GTK UI use whichever theme you please, regardless of the system setting.

EDIT: Probably not what you were asking, looking at the context. Sorry.

if it's turn based it's not real-time, so happily no such thing exists. ;)

Form Tools [External Link] would do the job, but might take a bit of setting up.

Another Fishing Game Is Planning A Linux Version Named 'Euro Fishing'
4 Nov 2015 at 11:55 am UTC

Quoting: lucifertdarkThe point of fishing is the fight between Man & Fish, catch & release, not catch & kill, the fish lives to fight another day.
Yeah, a noble fight indeed. Just like swinging a fly swatter is a "fight between Man & Mosquito".

I find catch & release cruel and pointless, but I'm fine with catching fish for food. The same "catch & release" policy applied to hunting (with tranquilizer darts or something) would be considered animal abuse in most civilized countries. But I guess fish aren't cuddly enough. :)

Virtual fishing can be fun though. Don't like hunting games personally.

Quoting: StianTheDarkDoes it make me a bad vegan to want to play a fishing game? Probably.
No. But what about all the games where you kill people? Catching fish gives you pause but murder and mayhem does not? ;)

ZOTAC Have A Trailer To Show Off Their NEN Steam Machine

@All of you complaining about the price: The hardware vendors producing Steam Machines obviously do not control the market and their only source for profit is the sale of hardware. This puts them on a totally different starting line from "traditional" console businesses. They just can't make up the difference with game sales. They also cannot depend on sales volumes, as they have competition on an unproven market. You'd see the same thing with Xbox and PS if Microsoft and Sony let others build and sell consoles according to their specs and only handled the software platform and game sales.

TL;DR: A tiny console-sized but powerful PC is and has always been expensive. It's cheaper to build a gaming rig yourself. Duh.

Quoting: GuestIs there something that prevents you from using the same account on both machines?
No, but I want to have a 100% Linux game library, and the library of my older account isn't.. :(
Can't you remove the credit card from the old account and add it to the new one?

Want To Be A Fisherman? Fishing Planet Is Planning A Linux Release

Quoting: maodzedunYeah, but in simulators you're actually doing something. In these games you're essentially doing nothing in front of a lit monitor. I don't know - I guess to each his own, but I won't get it in a million years.
Did you watch the video? They call it a simulator, but it seems you catch something twice a minute. Not very realistic, but less boring than in real life, and nothing compared to the tedium of many of the more realistic simulators.

What exactly don't you get though? I certainly get why people might like MMOs or engage in the horror that is competitive online FPS games, even if I'd personally rather chew on rocks while sitting naked on an anthill than play them. To each their own, as they say.

Quoting: EikeI can imagine sitting for hours in nature and waiting for the fish to bite is relaxing, somewhat adventurous, you're in nature and all that. But a game hasn't got lots of these features...
But it's got a lot of features nature doesn't. Like being able to go fishing for a short stint anytime you feel like it and doing it from the comfort of your own home. And not having to sit for hours and wait for the fish to bite is a big plus in my book. I'm not exactly the restless type, but real fishing is a bit boring. ;) I prefer to enjoy nature in some other way.

This seems like a great way to chill out, although the multiplayer stuff (if forced) is disappointing. I'd be happy just collecting trophy fish and whatever by myself. Had a ton of harmless fun playing Fishing Resort with my nephew on his Wii. :)
