As owner of nvidia gpu for so long time I would say that it's too late for me to get excited. So far nvidia is not good deal for gaming on Linux. My plans are to buy amd gpu next year. I hope things get better for me after that

I don't even remember why I stop using popos but in the beginning I was so enthusiastic that I even donate money to the project and only after 4 mounts I quit it forever

Quoting: scaineNo, I just have an opinion, negative one and it's coming from personal experience. I tried many distros for big period of time. The last time I used ubuntu was for 8 mounts and frankly this time was better then previous time because now they use systemd and my system boot for adequate time yet many of their packages are not linked to most recent version of their libc or other crucial lib which lead to crashes or undefined behavior. I stopped using it after system get broken after update, similarly to what happen to Linus with pop os (not like I blame apt)Quoting: kalinI tried popos and it was the same garbage as ubuntu. After some update the system got broken. From my experience manjaro is far better choice then anything Debian based. Turd is a turd no matter how much chocolate topping you put onThis kind of comment is unhelpful and, frankly, deluded. I've said it before - it's insanely frustrating to see such a small niche shitting on another niche just to get one over on the other 'side'. Grow up.

Quoting: GuestAnd here is the fun part :). Most of those accounts are botsQuoting: kalinIt will fail the same way that team fortress did for the same reason. Valve incompetenceDon't say it failed just because you don't like it. There are still people playing it to this day
I don't like the valve's path of CS GO too (as I used to play 1.6) but they achieved massive success reviving the title without monetising the gameplay. CS:S was a failure (except for modding scene) and I thought non-competitive players just won't play this 5v5 format.

Quoting: GuestBelieve me that game is on dying road. Many people get frustrated with the game. There is a lot of problems with matchmaking, bugs, lack of proper content other then cosmetics and so on. The game is big it can't fail in instance. It will fail the same way that team fortress did for the same reason. Valve incompetenceQuoting: kalinDead gameIt is the second most played game on Steam, with nearly as many players as CS:GO. So it's definitely not dead. But I stopped playing it, because the old version was much better in my opinion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CPUMtsMhWw [External Link] The new design team isn't as good as the old one, so the game always gets worse, which is really sad to see.

I have been hate gnome forever but it works far better compared to kde in my experience.
With kde I always have crashes for random components all the time. When I get amd gpu (2023) I can try kde again
hopefully they learn how to write stable software till then

That was the last time I ever gave money to valve for dota 2. I pay to wait 15-20 min for a game that end for 5-15 min because of retarded matchmaking. Valve refuse to give my money back because I played that game for years. Payment was made 2 days before my request. The real gameplay after the payment was less then hour. Now I boycott valve for not returning my money. If someone make a petition or something for returning money or some way of punishment I'm in
