SteamBoy Aims To Be A Handheld Steam Machine

It makes perfect sense in my opinion : you can get enough performance with a not-too-high TDP form an AMD APU, and play more demanding games with in-home streaming.
Steam's offline mode is perfect if you don't have an Internet connection.
Overall, I would love to play civilization/the binding of Isaac/Super Meat Boy, or whatever, on such a portable console.
But I am not completely sold on 3D games, though.

Somewhat reminds me the open pandora (or dragonbox pyra), and would be cool to use as a portable linux device.

GOL Cast: Building My Empire In Civilization V

Quoting: Mikeany chance of a GOL multiplayer?
My last game took me 5 hours (I didn't want a military victory, and the DLCs were not installed yet), on the smallest map, with the fastest speed. And the difficulty was not high.
I once did a game on the biggest map... it took me nearly 6 months!
But I never played multiplayer in CIV V (only CIV II), it may be different?

Civilization V Strategy Game Launches Natively On SteamOS Linux

Quoting: LostParadiseHas anyone else problems with dual monitor configuration except me?
From the steam forum, it seems that the game window appears on the monitor which has the (0,0) coordinates. You could use absolute positioning with RandR to put the origin on the correct monitor.
That's a wild guess, but worth trying IMO.

Civ IV just showed up in my library.
http://steamdb.info/app/34440/ [External Link] it lists Linux as a valid platform, but not on the store. It doesn't download anything, too.

Interstellar Marines Tactical & Future FPS Is Now On Linux

I had some of the issues quoted above for various unity games. The fixes for me in those games were :

-add "LC_ALL=C %command%" (or something like that, I am not sure about that %command%) to the game launch options

-start and play the game in windowed mode at least one time to get rid of that freeze bug.
