I'll use GE for now. I've issues that the dxvk and d9vk are pretty damn old in Proton (at least judging what it tells with DXVK_HUD=full, the versions are ancient in 4.11-7, especially for d9vk compared to the development speed there).

It even shows dxvk 0.99 for me for some reason in 4.11-7, which should not be the case.

Interesting. Wondering why the step was taken.

Not that I am particularly hyped with rollback networking, but it's one way to tackle the issue.

It's good we have a solution to this in the open source world with MIT licensing now. Can't hurt right?

Not sure what to make of the tower defence part... I usually don't like that gameplay, but I like base building, so I'll probably try it.

Good game, and the devs put some work into fixing the initial issues, it really runs well now.

I have fun playing, though I cannot get done all achievements on the highest difficulty, I seem to be not very good at the game, but it's a lot of fun :-)

Nice, I grew tired updating the prefixes manually with -master versions of D9VK since the last release was quite some time ago and there were a lot of improvements in D9VK.

Didn't expect Valve to push a new release out that fast. But well - it's probably why there was a D9VK release just in time before the new Proton release.

Will be done. There have been discussions on that already. I think once they consider D9VK feature complete that's when it will happen. It's not feature complete yet.

Yey, my 3 repoted bugs (ground texture, fixed fog functions and dirty distance view) made it in there! Very pleased! Besides some lightning issues we (he) solved. I just reported :-).

I'm surprised they released at all. Congrats for that to them.

They're not the only one who miscalculate, and even with way larger teams that happens. Shouldn't happen, but happens.

I've funded them with 10 $, which isn't too much afterall. I'll try to get it running on wine/dxvk (currently boreked according to protondb, which isn't really surprising since they use a home grown engine), and if I get it working properly won't refund.

I'm not really somebody who requires a native version, but it would have been nice to have it tested/working with wine. Afterall, I am spending quite some time playing with wine, even some games which do have native versions since they just run better in wine with dxvk/d9vk than the native versions do.

Hmh, not a bug, a design flaw. Things like that happen, they implemented some requirement for running shell extensions and forgot the possible security implication if it runs unnoticed.

I remember a similar discussion by the KDE team actually in another topic, where they caught that thing before they released it and changed it before.

Things like that happen, and it will be fixed in no time, of that I'm sure.
