We definitely haven't given up on it at all. In fact, it's a requirement for us because we need to port the engine to other platforms and Linux is a good "clean room" platform.
However, it is a very very time consuming process, especially with so many of us on Star Control right now.

A bit sad they dropped the idea of supporting Vulkan due to the amount of work involved for "not enough benefit" at the moment. We'll see, maybe that will change in the future.

When I finally get my new TV I'll be able to steamlink that one again and play on my relax chair. Still not through this game, but my TV is now broken for quite some time :D.

While I do not care a lot for shooters lately, it's cool Sam4 is coming (and I'll be buying anyway).

Cool they consider it. Technical challenges may still put them off, but I'm happy they're looking into it.
