I believe this is the reason, people could buy Civ VI heavily reduced. But due to it being in error - it was supposed to be 10% and not 80%, the shop took the hit.
One can only imagine how just how many people took advantage of this deal as it was on reddit.

The earlier installments in this series were great, and work great in wine too!
