I'm on Plasma 6 now, working just fine on openSUSE Tumbleweed.
Still using X11, though. That's still the default for this particular distro.

Homestar Runner quotes have been living rent-free in my head since I first watched it. I was pretty late to the party, but I was hooked immediately nonetheless. Really nice to see that this game's available to those who were eaten by some linux or something.
Thing is, though, how am I going to purchase this with boxing gloves on?
Crapfully yours,

Nice to see it start getting pushed. Once it hits openSUSE Tumbleweed, I've got some distrohopping to do.

Quoting: Vortex_Acheronticsudo zypper ref --forceSame here. I've got a flash drive loaded with openSUSE Tumbleweed, and I'm gonna swap to it once Plasma 6 comes out in its main repositories.
sudo zypper dup
Nothing to do.

It's really nice seeing this climb, it was a little under eight months ago that we saw 3%. We may see 5% even sooner.
All the roadblocks that stopped me from ditching Windows are gone. Most of it was gaming, and pretty much all the games I play on the regular, I can play on Linux. As for those that don't, I still have options, and a dualboot just in case.
Swapped over for good back in June after flip-flopping for years and years (Windows 11 was the last straw), and I don't regret it one bit.

Well, making a note that when I finally upgrade this old 1080p60 monitor, I'll have to make completely sure it's one that uses DisplayPort.
Right now, I'm still rocking DVI like it's 2009 (through a DisplayPort to DVI adapter, though.)

Game over for Roblox on Linux / Steam Deck as it's now blocked

When Roblox first blocked Wine, people started playing it via Waydroid. Might be worth a shot now.
However, this does absolutely nothing, not a damn thing, to stop cheating. The idea that it does is completely asinine.
Most cheaters use Windows and software specifically designed for Windows. Disabling Linux support isn't going to magically stop them.

Open-source Vulkan driver for NVIDIA hardware in Mesa, NVK, is now ready for prime time

But I've had a lot of issues with the proprietary drivers recently.
When the time comes to buy a new graphics card, though, it's going to be AMD or Intel Arc.
NVIDIA's pre-scalped prices are too expensive for me.

Quoting: Luke_NukemI really really do not understand the nvidia hate. It's frankly fucking ridiculous at times.A little bit, yeah. My GPU's hardware is excellent, and I'd probably be able to run it for several more years with NVK.

It is so nice seeing NVK come so far so quickly, I may be able to trash the proprietary drivers sooner than expected.
Rocking an EVGA 2080 right now, and if NVK gets merged, I won't be so rushed to get a different GPU.
As much as this is absolutely, positively my final NVIDIA card*, I want to be able to keep this until it becomes too weak for my use case or it suffers a catastrophic failure.
Because my 2080 is perfectly fine for what I use it for, I've just been growing really tired of NVIDIA's annoying blob driver.
*except in the very slim chance NVIDIA pulls a total 180, embracing open-source drivers and not charging scalper pricing for their cards. But that chance is super slim right now, they seem way more interested in selling cards en masse to AI farms.
