Every day there is a new reason to hate "AI"... it's not even really the AI we've been warned about, it's dumber.

This is why using AI with no human oversight or verification is just a terrible idea. AI as a tool has been useful for years, but AI as the judge and jury for everything from healthcare to security is getting people killed.

Holy shit, I just learned the CEO of Funko is Cynthia Williams, who pretty much killed Dungeons and Dragons as a respected brand.

And extra holy shit, the CEO of shitty AI security company Brand Shield is Yoav Keren, a former IT specialist for the Israeli "Defense" Force. The IDF has been using AI to identify and assassinate enemies of their rogue state.

Talk about AI getting people killed.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 broke on Linux / Steam Deck, here's the quick fix for now

Quoting: Pyratewhat's so bad about using the Experimental version as default .
that's not how Proton is designed to work. Proton Experimental and Hotfix might have regressions that can break older games. Once you find a version that works, you stick with it. If a game breaks, because of an update (eg. EA App), THEN you try the latest version. If that doesn't work, then you try Experimental or, if available, Hotfix.

Using Experimental on everything is like installing Windows 11 Beta build to fix a problem with a game that's bugged on Windows 10. Sorry for using Windows as a example.

Quoting: ToddLI'm always tempted to try out these Preview/Beta builds but too afraid that'll make changes on my Steam Deck that might cause more problems.
It's definitely a possibility, and why it's beta. I switch between Stable and Beta and vis a versa when I **have** a problem, and it's worked well for me. I don't switch builds to "try out" a new feature.

Triple-i Initiative teased by devs of Vampire Survivors, Darkest Dungeon, Risk of Rain

Triple I, aka III (from https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AAA_(video_game_industry) [External Link] :
The similar construction "III" (Triple-I) has also been used to describe high-production-value games in the indie game industry.
So it's basically a bunch of indie devs and publishers joining forces for marketing purposes. In craft beer your have the Independent Craft Brewer seal: https://www.brewersassociation.org/independent-craft-brewer-seal/ [External Link]

Its gonna be the same sort of thing, a way to clearly label members of the Triple-I Initiative as "Indie". They're gonna have to settle on what's "Indie" tho. And since it's just a marketing scheme (ie., advertising), it really won't affect most consumers other than push other III members into your spam and in-game ads.

I wouldn't get too excited.
