On Kickstarter failed project happen quite often (and by failed I'm mean those with no longer any update, those that have clearly stated that the project have failed and those that have deliver a crappy game) and almost all project will be late (often several months late and sometime more than a year).
There has been some dark times on Kickstarter because of that when even good project weren't founded but I doubt that it will happen again or it would need a lot more than just one big project failing. Why ? Because even with these risks (that I think most people are aware of, now) this system as proven to be able to bring amazing games that we would never have had otherwise and because some projects deliver something even better than backers expectations (and that's not easy).
On Early access on Steam, I think it does have serious issues and Valve should create strict rules for that or remove this feature.

Darksiders For Linux Has A Slight Delay As Bugs Are Found

For me it's okay for a game to have some bugs (even known bugs) at the time of release but that should only be bugs that you won't see if you aren't particularly looking for them or cases where the development team did not except a player to do something (because most player won't). If a bug don't fall in these category or if a bug crash the game (even if this is a rare case), the game should not be released as it is and should be fixed before release.

Quoting: MohandevirAll these games coming before 2015? Wow!I don't think Pillars of Eternity will release before the end of the year. It was planned for November but after testing the beta I don't want it to be release this soon. Also, they said that a Linux client for the beta version would be available in a few weeks a month ago and there isn't any news about it since then.
Lots of gameplay ahead for us!
What about Pillars of Eternity?

I just hope that Linux is not on their list of "thing to do when we have nothing else to do" like with some other games.

One, they are not counting all Linux games sales and it is not fair because I'm pretty sure every Linux gamers out there as bough almost if not all the HIBs so they already own some of their games and are not going to buy them twice. Also they would not have been on HIB at that time if their games were not on Linux.
Two, It is working well for a lot of others developers so I'm going to assume they are just doing it wrong.
Three, as of January 2014 5% of their sales were on Linux (http://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/linux-game-sales-statistics-from-multiple-developers.2963) if their statement is true that mean that as of January 2014 they made less than 240K€ with all their games on all platforms, I highly doubt that.
To conclude, IMHO they are not making enough money (in all platforms) to keep the company running and they are searching for someone to blame other than themselves.
Also, this : http://www.puppygames.net/blog/?p=1574 [External Link]. They actually tell to every buyer on Steam that they are just a piece of s**t (I'm not exaggerating). Read it and tell me they do not deserve this.

Also if you buy it on their website you get the DRM free version AND a Steam key AND for me it's a bit less expensive (but Steam prices depend on the country so that may not be true for everyone).
