Steam Has An Updated Subscriber Agreement

It is legal. In EU there is a period of retractation. During this period, you can't legally use the service you suscribed to. In order to use this service, you must give up on your retractation right. That is the case for any subscription to a service, which is basically what buying a game on Steam is.

So, by downloading and installing the game immediately after buying it, you give up on your retractation rights.

On a legal basis, a damaged game that can't work can get you a refund. But on Steam, there can't be physical damage, and if you exclude the case where you simply can't download the game, it will always be provided as it is meant to work, even if its completely broken to begin with.

So, agreed, this is not fair, and the law should really improve on these points. That's what you get, applying centuries old laws to new technologies.

Tell Blizzard You Want Linux Support In Their Games

As it has already been said, today Blizzard are a shadow of their former self. Their creative force simply slipped away long ago. Enough talk, back to Torchlight 2.

Steam Now Has Official Hardware Pages On Its Store (UPDATED)

It's way too overpriced to break into the main console market. On the other hand, you have to consider the fact that they will be the only 4K capable consoles on the market.

Lots Of Big Games Confirmed For SteamOS, Torchlight II Now Out, Payday 2, Mordor And More Coming Too

I never saw such an exciting announcement on an "alternative OS", not even back in my Mac OS 7/8/9/X days. It's raining bloody great games right now, and Linux distributions have some great arguments in their favor. By choosing Linux as the basis for SteamOS, Valve offers us a great opportunity to break free from a monopole that's been undisputed for too long. I'm not saying that people will massively move away from Microsoft - that's highly improbable, but their position is more disputable than ever, and that is perhaps the most interesting fact about SteamOS, other than me being able to play hundreds of games and spending my money like crazy.

Do you force anti-aliasing in NVIDIA control panel ? I don't have this game yet but many UE3 games on Linux don't support anti-aliasing at all and I remember Painkiller HD having the exact same bug when trying to enforce it...

By the way, devs sharing Metallica parts, and even better, from Master of Puppets, are definitely AWESOME devs :)

Quoting: jestaEvolve perhaps ?
That is probably more likely the case.

Taking a second look, Trials Evolution is kind of a pipe dream because I just saw on the Steam store page that it's published by Ubisoft and developed by Redlynx (which is a division of Ubisoft). Knowing Ubisoft's history with Mac ports, they'll probably start making/porting a game or two to Linux sometime around 2020, haha :)

But, for the fun of it I'll stick to my guns.
Ubisoft, no thanks... apart from Michel Ancel games.

Wow, great job Aspyr.
Well, my favorite thriller novel is Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Lethem.
