Humble NEOGEO 25th Anniversary Bundle, almost all games available for Linux

Quoting: eigensinnigA question to those who already bought the bundle: Is it possible to play the roms with other emulator than the provided? I am thinking of mame.
I saw people on some other sites say they were using the roms with other emulators (although they didn't mention mame specifically). I tried about 4 or 5 of the games last night and they all worked great.. I created .desktop files for each and linked them into Steam..

The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians, a surprisingly great dungeon crawler

Quoting: GuestThis game looks good, good but not as awesome as Wizardry 8, which I would consider the god of oldschool dungeon crawlers. (I mean it's the last official title in the series that officially inspired the JRPG genre, one of if not the very first turn-based combat RPG, I really wish Sirtech was still aruond, I'd love me some Wizardry 9)
In college, I bought a Wizardry I-VI bundle, that my friends and I immediately set into finishing... Yah, that pretty much ruined my first attempt at college. We'd play for days straight at times (classes? classes? what are those?)... Good stuff.

With their base of operations in Finland, origin of one Linus Torvalds, one would think they would put their tools out for Linux just for the sake of that! :)

Sublevel Zero, A First-person Roguelike Six-degree-of-freedom Shooter Released For SteamOS & Linux

Okay, I'm probably being pretty dense here, but if someone could please explain to me how this game is at all "roguelike" (as the description states), I'd really appreciate it... It does not remind me of rouge AT ALL from the screenshot...

Want To Be A Fisherman? Fishing Planet Is Planning A Linux Release

Quoting: maodzedunYeah, but in simulators you're actually doing something. In these games you're essentially doing nothing in front of a lit monitor. I don't know - I guess to each his own, but I won't get it in a million years.
Have you ever been fishing in real life, sir? There is a whole ton of strategy involved (as well as some luck). The more you learn about fishing, and the more effectively you employ the strategies you learn, the more fish you will catch. It is almost like a real life vidya game in itself. So, not only can you replicate that on your electronic device, but if it is a good simulator, and can help teach and develop this myriad of strategies that can help one to become a better real life fisherman (or woman), as well as having a blast while playing the simulator.

(although it's a bit unnerving how those dwarves look exactly like the ones in LoTR)

Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic II Released For Linux, With Preview Port Report

Quoting: KimyrielleThat is truly one of the better RPGs ever made, so I am going to support it despite I already played it when it was still considered new. :D
Wouldn't it be better to just symbolically link the files in the directory where it's looking instead of copying them?
