The game is very cute, but also incredibly frustrating. I've let it down after two hours... (If it were advertised as frustrating like Cuphead or Super Meat Boy are it would make me laugh but it is not the case)

I could never complete the tutorial of Imperator Rome, systematically getting unrest while not understanding what to do. So I gave up...

My rig is rather old except the GPU but with FHD a 1080 is clearly enough. (Given the stability issues I had, I did not even try to turn raytracing on)

That's true. I loved the Caspian See level especially, which is a true open world.

I don't know for other people but even with a GeForce 2070 SUPER on Debian Bullseye (KDE) I faced dozens of crashes on Metro Exodus. Looks like the port is a bit sloppy given the testimonies on Steam. However the game is damn beautiful... when it works.

I faced quite a lot of crashes on Debian Bullseye + KDE + NVidia 460.67 driver. Not an issue of an underpowered host.

Quoting: Guestalright so game refuses to launch natively for me... but if i launch it via proton it runs just fine -_-
If you have a NVidia GPU make sure the following file is present :
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnvidia-rtcore.so.[driver_version]

You can get it from your package manager. For Debian it is in package libnvidia-rtcore. For Ubuntu it is on package libnvidia-gl-[your_driver_version]. For other distros, you get the idea...
