Awesome, but I'd still like a native Apple Silicon build of the Steam client too. There's already some native Apple Silicon games [External Link] on Steam.

Quoting: mrdeathjrThis wine version come with many changes some related screen management

other important change cited in phoronix forum is child window rendering*

http://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/6467 [External Link]

*however in my case catherine still fucked in both ways: no cinematics - only white screen

also have some changes in control panel input app

also run some newer titles like this:

back to ffmpeg backend is needed add registry key

http://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/6442 [External Link]

This introduces a new alternative FFmpeg-based implementation for the MF byte stream handlers, while keeping the current GStreamer-based as default.

The new implementation can be enabled by setting the DWORD value:

DisableGstByteStreamHandler = 1

in the HKCU\Software\Wine\MediaFoundation registry key.

in my case mp4+mp3 magic still working (case atelier sophie - god eater resurrection - bully scholarship - onimusha 3 demon siege - ninja blade)

mpeg (case melty blood act cadenza, resident evil 4 2005) work

and stay testing other titles (avi cinematics on enter the matrix for example)

but wmv (with wmapro audio) however still is a problem in my case

Valve heads to PAX Australia for the first time, maybe they'll finally get the Steam Deck

Quoting: Cyba.CowboyFor those not in Australia or New Zealand, Māori People and Kiwis have a very, uh, "unique", way of pronouncing certain words, largely due to their accent... Which Australians love to pole fun at, in part because of the never-ending rivalry we have with our friends "across the bay".
For a continent that might as well have a giant "No Fat Chicks" bumpersticker on it. I've always found it ironic that the Aussies call the Kiwis hicks.

Quoting: LamuNobody's in favour of these goofy, overbearing 'covenants' (as cultlike as it sounds).
Any normal person is. The only people usually not in favour of them are the exact type of assholes they aim to keep away. It's utterly daft to be against such simple rules. Too many people turn into keyboard warrior idiots.
Thank you for saying this. I was waiting for someone to criticize it in the comments the moment I read the title of the article. While "covenant" might come off as an odd word to use, it's exactly as you said and then some. If people don't like rules of civility, then GTFO. Projects are better off without you and your ilk.
