Well, this is very good game with good reviews on steam (77% positive). Just remember good game but not for all, if u like games like Postal then u can like Hatred also, if not then probably this game is not for u.

they have no fixes planned for the Linux

Not only for Linux, also for Windows, because this game is done. They finish it and not plan to update it anymore for any platform. They just working on other titles.

Performance. Also, being an house port, you would think CA would have solved cross platform multiplayer, but, nope. To be fair, the performance on Windows was/is also garbage, but, the Linux/OSX ports are even worse. Its disappointing as it really is a good/great game otherwise.

Dont know about crossplay but about performance and support drivers/gpu this port is much better than most of Feral ports. Performance is only small worse than on Windows. In some case 10FPS in other 5FPS worse. Also Linux OpenGL port perform better than Windows OpenGL. Also thier game work out-of-box not only on NVIDIA gpu with proprietary driver but also on AMD with Mesa and even on old propietary fglrx and new AMDGPU-pro with nice performance...

So port is good but game itself is poor. ABout crossplatform? Dont know too much...

I don't think they ever get to know that. They just resell steam keys, and it is steam that will acknowledge the activation for a particular platform when it is done.

I asked a few developers whose games were offered here. They claimed it did not matter to them. It is important that I buy and activate on Steam and play on Linux and they will know that I am playing on Linux.

Because the keys on Steam are not assigned to a specific platform but to a specific publisher. Thats why there is no such thing as Linux keys.
