Blocking Linux / Steam Deck in Apex Legends led to a 'meaningful reduction' in cheaters

What a dishonest way to display data. One axis of the chart isn't numbered, the other shows that we are only looking at data from a very short time period. There is no comment on what the graph actually shows or how the data was acquired. It also fails to explain the equally large ups and downs before and after the Linux removal. That chart should always be dismissed, no matter if the data it shows is true.

Interesting bundle. My niece has taken an interest in learning Korean and I am struggling to keep up. I might pick this up.

Quoting: EhvisDenuvo only supports Windows though.
I am still using Windows and Linux in parallel until I am getting a new computer next year. And I don't want to give people that slap unnecessary DRM onto everything my money.
Sooner or later they might either make Denuvo work on Linux or render the games unusable without Windows.

Quoting: ThatSpoonyBardThe GameSir Tarantula Pro might be up your alley. The dpad is terrible for fighting games, but the controller is pretty good in all other ways.

I'll still be getting one of these Horipads, because I really want the Steam Input customization with gyro support.
Holy cow, that is not a cheap controller! It has got some nice features, but that is a lot of money.

Quoting: RavenWingsLooks alright, but its time for Valve to release the Deck-controls as a standalone-controller. Everything else just feels backwards at this point.
Take the Steam Deck, remove the display, stick the remaining halves together, and there you go, the Steam Controller 2. It would literally be that simple.
It's not quite that simple, I'm afraid.
The Steam Deck can be held quite comfortably, but that is because it is a pretty wide device. The moment you take away the middle part, you'd be holding it differently. Your hands are much closer together, so that you'd have to change the angle of the grips to adjust for that. Of course that now also means that the buttons and trackpads might have to get rearranged. For the pads a slight change in angle might be a good idea. All in all designers have to take a lot into account regarding proper ergonomics, I recon.

Vampire Hunters turns Vampire Survivors into an FPS where you stack 14 weapons together

Hmmm... weapon stacking, you say? And Vampire Survivors? I might have to get that game sooner or later.
Not that I currently have the time. Or an empty backlog of games. But it might be interesting. Well, holidays are on the horizon...

I'd give it a try, but it seems to be infested with Denuvo.

This is weird. While I do appreciate the extra Buttons, I cannot for the life of me come up with a reason for making a pricey controller without rumble support. For that price I'd never want to get a controller without force feedback. The 8BitDo and even the XBox controller both work fine.

Zombie co-op FPS Projekt Z: Beyond Order releases Spring 2025 with Linux support

Quoting: neolithYes, it is possible technically. I was just wondering who would actually put up with using two keyboards and mice on a single computer for gaming. Two gamepads is way more common, I recon.
I assume local co-op means LAN multiplayer in this case.

Still, I would love to see four player splitscreen using four keyboards and mice some day. Pure pandemonium!
Oh boy – fighting over desktop real estate would be the endgame here!
