Quoting: CimerydHow are your guys playing this? I can't even get the game files over Steam. I know I have to rename something because the developers didn't even bother trying it on Linux, but I have nothing to even rename.

Installed the game a few times just to confirm, every time it's an empty folder.
As far as I know, they already released a patch fixing the renaming problem. Yours seem to be some kind of wrong download. Try redownloading and verifying it.

Quoting: subIt's not like the Steam Machines are "released" like a console.
They are a moving target and the best is yet to come.
To be fair, so are the consoles. My PS4 keeps getting updated, and the Xbone today is an infinitely better deal than the Xbone when it launched. It's not like the competition is standing still and only Steam machines keep moving,

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Released For Linux, We Love You Feral Interactive

Aw hell no! Looks awesome, gameplay looks fun, has an Assassin's Creed feel to it. I have it on PS4, I've ragequit a few times, long before it got fun. This is just too hard for me. As soon as I get into the world and get an objective, I came across two named orcs. They patrol the same area, though not together. I tried to rush in and just kill everything, no dice. I tried sneaking around them, they found me. I tried to single one out and kill him, beat him down to almost no health and he just won't die or be controlled. Then the other guy came along as that was that.

Either I'm missing something vital, or the game is just too hard for me. No way I'm shelling out again to get equally frustrated on a new platform.

Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic II Released For Linux, With Preview Port Report

Rhemus Vor 5 Stunden
Hello,
I've found a simple workaround for the problem. Just copy the entire content of the "steamapps/workshop/content/x//y" (the place where the mod is) to "steamapps/common/Knights of the Old Republic II/steamassets". And that fixed it for me - running latest mint.
I ran the kotor process with strace but the resulting file was too big to properly analyze - but I noticed that there were few ENOENT errors so I figured might aswell copy the files over.

Hope that helps in finding the proper fix.

Best Regards

Thanks. Had problems getting the mod to work before this.

Speculation: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords For Linux Leaked By The ESRB

Heh, "newer Star Wars game"...

Still, I am happy about it, this game was really good, and if it were finished when they released it (or even if they patched it up instead of leaving that for the community), it could have been one of the greatest games ever.

Looks very nice, but for my part I think I will opt for building my own desktop at around the same price range and using a Steam Link to get the living room involved.

No way! I'm finally free of WoW, I don't want that temptation again. It running like crap in Wine is a blessing.
