Bravada Now Available On Steam & It's Great

I don't know. To me it seems native speakers are the ones who struggle most with the common mistakes of written English. Things like confusing "there", "they're" and "their", or even confusing "of" with "a". It seems to me that people who learn English as a second language learn written English first and spoken English second, but native speakers learn have trouble separating similar sounding words when they write them down.

A Very Important Announcement For You

Thanks for the work so far Liam, and I hope you get back to it again in not too long. The speed you had really baffled me at times, the number of articles you wrote and their lengths and depths. Interviews, editorials and straight up announcements, all really helpful. This site has become the #1 source for gaming on Linux, at a time when gaming on Linux is actually taking off and becoming even more exciting than when Loki were still around.

I hope you just need a breather and will be back soon, but thanks for the work done either way.

AMD Working Closely With Khronos Group On Next-gen OpenGL, Gives Mantle Access
15 Aug 2014 at 12:15 pm UTC

That's pretty good of AMD to offer it up like that, but to what end? What would be the point of having an OpenGL API that very closely mimics the Mantle API? You would then have two competing API's that are near the same.
My first thought is that AMD are fighting a losing battle on both the CPU and GPU front, being quite clearly second best at both. "Helping" both OpenGL and DirectX by giving them code and direction tailored to AMD hardware will bridge that gap, and might even push them over the top in some performance tests. AMD is a hardware company first and the software is there to sell the hardware. This makes perfect sense.

Well, that thingy on their site was thoroughly annoying. Guess they don't really want me to be excited for upcoming games then.

Quoting: Guestafter Brütal Legend, of course.
Ahh, such a fantastic game ruined by such a terrible strategy playstyle. Sad to say I never finished it.

Marvel Heroes 2015, A MMO Action RPG Looks Like It Is Coming To Linux

Please be as good as WoW. Please have many obscure characters to choose from. Please come to Linux. Please be as good as WoW. Please don't just milk the franchise. Please do F2P right. Please be as good as WoW. Please.

After LotRO, AoC and so many other WoW killer MMOs, I'm sceptical of everything now. At least these guys have the realism to go F2P right out of the gate.
Honestly I think with this game, cloning the DC Universe Online model would be best, making you create your own hero and running into the big shots, but it might have its allure to play as Iron Man too...as long as there are a few hundred heroes to choose from.

EDIT: Checked the game and its comments out on Steam, I'm not that psyched any more. Damn it.
