I Just Wish They Would Add System Restore Points, So When Updating, Adding Hotfixes, Modifying System Files, Or Even If Scripts Mess Up Ur System, Or Something Just Goes Wrong In Whole, U Have The Ability To Launch A System Restore Point Back To A Day The OS Properly Worked Before That Point In Time.

Doesn't Seem Like They Looked Into The That Big Update Crippling The Discover App, Since That Big Update For SteamOS And LinuxOS, I Can No Longer Search For Updates On The Discover App On Desktop Mode Without It Crashing, Resulting In Me Using The Code Lines In Kommand Line To Download And Update My Apps Manually.

The Problem Is, It's A Violation For Microsoft To Acquire Valve, Its Illegal Under The Anti-Trust Laws, The Problem.. They Are Buying The Politicians Off To Look The Other Way For Years, Still Are, Its All Corrupted We Have Laws For Monopolies But.. What Good Are Laws When Your So Big You Can Buy Agencies Off. Yet, Small Business Gets Attacked Non-Stop, Look At Similarities Like Uber, They Admitted To Committed Illegal Activities Bc The System Is Corrupted. If We Can Get Politicians Back To The Old System And Enforce Laws Already In Place, You Won't Have Companies Like Microsoft, AT&T, TMobile Etc. Buying Off Everyone So There's No Competition, Bc It Violates Fair Competition In The USA.

I Own The 512gb Since Launch, And My Joysticks Still Run Beautifully, I Also Own The Switch, Original Version, Had To RMA Store Bought And OEM Joy-Cons, Plenty, But Never Ever Issues Like This With The OEM Steam Deck Joysticks. And Even If U Didn't Like The Way The OEMs Feel Grip Wise, Just Buy The Joystick Covers For Em, Heck, Even The Switch Joy-Con Thumbstick Covers Work For The Steam Deck OEMs As Well, So If U Have Em Lying Around, Put Em On Ur Steam Deck OEM Thumbsticks.
The Only Complaint From Me Owning The 512gb, Is Its Still Literally Not Enough HDD Space, It Should Have Had The Standard 1TB SSD Drive Rather 512GB, But You'll Need To Invest Into The MicroSD 1TBs To Expand Its Usage, Without Consistent Uninstallions. And Also, You'll Become Addicted To Steam Sales And Fanatical Sales.😂

Quoting: PenglingThere Is Absolutely ZERO Reason To Mod The OEMs Steam Deck Joysticks, They Work Just Fine As Is, This Is Just In Case You Receive A Defective Unit After Your Warranty, But Even Still, You Can Pay The Valve Fee And RMA It, They Do The Work For U, I've Heard Complaints From These 3rd Party Modules Being Installed, One Complaint Is They Couldn't Calibrate Properly And They Had All Sorts Of Motion Issues In-Game Afterwards, Bc The OEM Joysticks Calibrate Differently For Games Than The 3rd Party Ones, If U Buy One Brand New, The Steam Deck That Is.. In My Opinion, Leave Em As Is.Quoting: Liam DawePretty much all traditional joysticks will eventually drift, the design of these is supposed to last far longer and potentially never see drifting issues.I assume it's safe to say that the Steam Deck's sticks are at least better than, say, the absolutely notorious ones used in the Nintendo Switch's Joy-Cons, though?
I don't have a Deck yet, and if they are like that, it would be a big dealbreaker for me - I got sick of repairing those things and that contributed to my move over to 100% Linux-gaming.

Games That Won't Work At All Due To Incompatibility Issues On Linux For SteamOS Steam Deck -
Entropia Universe
Fallen Earth
The Chronicles Of Riddick, DVD Complete Set.
So Far, Those Are The Games That Won't Even Boot Up Due To Either Launches Or Default Video Resolution Not Correcting Itself Automatically Under SteamOS. Which Crashes The SteamDeck.
That Said, We Need Steam Deck 2, To Fully Run Older Exe Launchers That Rely On Programs Like Internet Explorer And So On, We Need More Development On These Issues That Aren't Being Focused On, To Fully Get Off The Reliance Of Windows Desktops. So For Me, I'm Okay With The Battery Life, I'm Okay With My 512GB Model, However.. SteamDeck 2 Should Have The Maximum Of 2TB By Standard And Minimum Should Be 250GB For The Cheaper Models. I Think It Was A Mistake For The 64GB Model Bc Of SSDs Having Limited Writing Before The Drives Fail Compared To HDDs.
If They Can't Focus On Older Games To Launch Properly Like Fallen Earth For Example, My Primary Focus For Steam Would Be To Focus On Us Desktoppers That Want To Ditch Windows Entirely And Focus On Desktop SteamOS Whereas We Can Put Our Own HardWare Into Our Machines And Run Older Or Games Like Entropia Universe At Our Higher Frame rates Or Resolution Sets To Get Some Games To Boot.

Quoting: Avehicle7887For Me, The Original Hasbro Monopoly Game, It Has Video File Segments That Use This Codec, Heck I Couldn't Even Get Them To Play On Windows 11. Good To See Deck Will Support This Codec, I'll Be Able To Play My 80s Stashed Games Again, Even LawnMower.Indeo IV50 codec support.Hmmm, I wonder which old games use this.
Big new Stable Update for Steam Deck and Desktop Steam

Replaced launch option dialog with new UI that includes a checkbox to remember the user's selection - this selection can be changed in game properties
This Update Oddly Was Forced Upon Me, That Said, To Re-Enable This If The Update Snuck Up On You N You Accidentally Disabled This Selection On Multiple Builds For A Game, Boot Into Desktop Load Steam, N Go Into The Game Normally, N Re-Check Mark From Desktop, Oddly, I Couldn't Find A Way To Re-Enable This In Gaming Mode.
