Quoting: leillo1975If I buy definitive edition bundle at this time, the game counts like a Linux purchase?
Probably not simply because Linux is not officially supported at this time.
Devs see the OS the game was purchased on regardless of if a port for that system exists.

When the game is ported by the same company the issue isn't as important. The issue is more important when the Linux version of the game was outsourced by a different company as depending on the contract of how profits are shared might depend on the total Linux sales from X date.

Quoting: LinasEven if it powerful enough to run games, what exactly could you run on it? A few open-source games maybe. Gaming on ARM CPU on Linux is so niche that it's not even quantifiable. A low power i386 CPU would have made this way more useful.
The Pandora/Pyra are mostly used for emulation... all the common stuff, NES,PS1,MegaDrive,N64,DS etc then all the computers C64,Amiga,ZX Spectrum. Then you have the whole SCUMMVM library and the ResidualVM library. Also had an amazing battery life.. mine could last 10 hours with average use before needing to be recharged. Also being a mini-PC had all the abilities that Linux can do.

The clear case is just prototype casing.

I have a Pandora.. used to use it a lot but then stopped going on longer journeys where I used to use it and so no longer use it.

I would like a Pyra but.. I just don't have much of a use for it.

It's more a case of what the film companies will agree to rather than what Valve wants. I'm sure Valve would rather it be buying the film rather than renting but it's probably the best deal they could currently get.

Small step in the right direction but I'll still play Blu-rays on my Linux box for now.

To play blu-rays on my Linux machine I use a combination of MakeMKV and VLC.

I symbolic link the libmmbd.so.0 (file created/used by MakeMKV) to the files libaacs.so.0 and libbdplus.so.0 in the /usr/lib64 directory

ln -s libmmbd.so.0 libaacs.so.0
ln -s libmmbd.so.0 libbdplus.so.0

Then all my blus play 98% fine in Linux :)

AOE1 and 2 work fine for me in WINE but I have to install no-cd cracks to get them to work. So an open source engine is great and hopefully progresses.

In general tho.. is the price of the game going to just slowly go down in price.

What about people who buy the game 1 week before it finishes.. they surely wont have to pay the same amount as people who bought it on day one.

However I have a feeling the total population count is going to be quite high.. and probably enough to keep the game alive for 2 years.
