Creative Assembly confirm Alien: Isolation is getting a sequel

Great! We need more to come, we could even need a movie based on Alien: Isolation. The writing was great and they did a great job capturing the theme and feel. Im a big fan on aliens the first and the second movies was truly great.
There is so much to explore in that universe. Alien: Isolation have been one of the best alien games Iv played and I play it yearly in October as I wanna get that Halloween feel, and there is only two games that give me those feels and that's gw2 and Alien:Isolation, dunno if there is som nostalgic feel I need

GTA V / GTAOnline highlights Steam Deck's verification system has problems

Rockstar is so big and Linux is sadly small. Having devs set there game as steam deck verified is probably something rockstar don’t even care about.
They made there money from windows users.

Should we get a refund if the game end up not supporting steam deck anymore, then valve needs to track on what system I got the game, they are probably already doing this or have the data to setup something to do that.

Back in the days when steam machines where a thing valve and gaben said something along.
“If they support Linux they get free advertising for short period”.
Maybe it’s something I’v dreamed but that could work for steam deck.

And money talks, Valve could takes a lesser cut from developers that support Linux and steam deck. That would motivate them better to keep the support and have the banner updated. If not, well valve can easily take action against the devs for false advertising.
I do believe, if there is money to be made and lose, that’s a great motivation.

Look under the table, you dropt it in the floor when you eagerly looked in your wallet

Microsoft Windows kernel changes don't suddenly mean big things for Linux gaming

I know there is a lot of Microsoft hate here, and I dont blame anyone, but my dream is that Microsoft goes full Linux, let there services like microsoft 360, cloud and other services be behind a license.
Windows becomes free. From what Iv heard Windows is only a small % of there income.
I work as a software engineer in Net and Microsoft really know what they are doing with C# and .NET .
.NET also works like a charm on Mac and Linux, and we even run our services and software on Red hat machines, we used to run them on Windows servers but it was just time consuming and slow, and the apps and services goes a lot faster on Linux.

I imagen that valve pushes gaming so hard that Linux is the first option for gaming, Windows loses market share so they have to go full Linux in order to continue there profit and market share. 🤷‍♂️

European Consumer Organization goes after multiple publishers for their in-game currency
14 Sep 2024 at 6:32 am UTC

I played World of Warcraft and hade to pay for an expension, WoW wasn’t my only game, so I’m probably in the same monthly spending. And also add the fact that everything have gone up in price over the years.

With an ingame currency, it’s easier to manipulate the consumer and easier to spend more, imagen if your a kid also. You can argue it’s the parents responsibility, and in a way yes.

But we have laws to protect consumers from a lot that could be seen as it’s the consumers responsibility, manipulation is hard to protect yourself from and if it’s done correctly it’s very hard to realise your the victim and how do you protect your kids from that ?

it’s a very predatory way to make you consume more and should not be allowed, even in casinos and similar places. Remove that asap!

The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest are getting offline modes

Quoting: ZeloxTo be honest, they could give me the game for free and I wouldn’t take it. I just can’t handle another client.
It’s the same with ea and blizzard 🤷‍♂️
Hmmm... I naively assumed that "offline" would go hand in hand with not relying on their stupid launcher anymore...
Ye I don’t blame you for assuming that. But the steam page says it needs a launcher and I assume that they won’t remove the need of ubisoft client to play offline, the game still needs to be connected to there store, but if you got the game now and there is no launcher needed for offline it’s a great step by Ubisoft and you made a good deal 😀

Valve has a new Steam Chart for the most played Steam Deck games

No surprise there, third person games are made for the deck. Specially games like elden ring, darksouls, tomb raider and the one I’m playing atm, resident evil 4 :).

But what a great game elden ring is and the new dlc, to me elden ring was already a classic on day one, will probably age like fine wine 😘👌.
