Omg Suddenly we got toons of sci fi games. Jesus, I remember the good old days. You hade to wait, get a bit frustrated, and maybe, just maybe the game would release for linux.
You went on to steam and wrote 1+ for linux in hopes off seeing a port.
Then you would get disappointed after hearing the game will never come out for linux.
Or the classic one, at the moment we are not planning for linux.
Aaahh thoser where the days :D.
And now we suddenly get all these games, along with some nice upcoming titles.
Now how in the world should I have time to play all these awesome games xD.
No for real, Im really happy with this weeks releases and announcements :).
Event[0] is something Iv been hoping for, and it also on gog.
Hopefully a linux version will be out there aswell, but judging by the tweet answer from the devs I will wishlist it there.

Well I dont know how the DRM-Free thingy will work on in game items u can buy.
But if they can stay DRM-Free Im not bothered with it all.
And if gog goes DRM, well what can gog offer that steam doesnt?
Its just another steam store with less games.
I will probably go back to steam full time then.
And I dont mind microtransactions, if u dont like them u can just ignore them.
But its a nice way to support the devs, waste some money from your wallet, and get good looking stuff.
But ye, Im not a fan off pay2win, but I just ignor those games.

For some reason I cant run this game, I get an error that some texters are missing when I try the game from steam and there website. But if I get it from the Arch AUR, the game runs fine but I have no sound :P.
Maybe they have made some changes to this in the new launcher.
Or there could be just an arch problem, and I have no idea what Im doing :P.
Still, what Iv manage to try without sound was good, but I imagen sound would make it even better :P.

I dont really mind them releasing a linux version when the game is done.
I know the attitude against this seems to be, you need to support linux from the start.
Im just happy If it runs on linux, nativly, in wine or something like it, has a good performece and
are counted as a linux purches when I get it.
And let windows beta test it. I can wait for the finished product.

I wonder if we keep bothering them with support tickets and questions about witcher 3.
They might give us something, it has been confirmed for linux, even gog and cdpr have said this them self and the proof is out there on threads and posts on GoG,GoL and Steam. I could understand a delay or why they cant work on witcher 3 atm cause they need to focus on another game, but they will take care of witcher 3 later.
But now they just try to pretend they never planned it for linux :/.

The developers of Armello are facing a bit of a backlash over the DLC not coming to GOG

This day has only been bad news for Linux :(.
But I never was planning to buy Armello.
But it sucks for those who did buy it.
I have never got a bad game on gog, that dosnt work, but on steam I have meny times.
To be fair, steam has a huge library compaired to gog, so I guess bad games would be more common.
But something I would like steam to implement is some test and remove games that dosnt work.
I dont know how this could be done, judging by the amount of games that gets on steam.

Quoting: TeqIt's starting to feel like a trend to me and I have to wonder if the back end management of GoG is making things very difficult for developers/publishers.I cant confirm this, but I think and Iv heard that gog is testing there games very heavy before it gets released on the gog platform.
That being said, in this case it's very hard to tell whats going on because the developers appear to be babbling incoherently.

The Witcher 3 was apparently never planned for Linux

Even if the chanse is small, Im gonna try to refund this.
I dont really pre-order that often, and this was an exception.
I guess Iv learned my lesson now. GoG in general has made some odd changes to there "DRM-free" policy.

Editorial: I ditched SteamOS in favour of a normal Linux distribution for my gaming

Iv been trying almost every ubuntu version, antergos, debian and some other destros.
I dont think Im alone at all with this experience.
But my favorit destro is Arch, just because its up to date, it has a great wiki, it got toons of packages in its repo.
Almost to the point, if there ever have been a linux version of something, its almost garanteed to be in the arch repo / AUR repo. And the only hard part with the destro is to install it. But there are nice guids out there.
The only truble Iv been having with it, is installing steam and some truble with the network manager.
But if you dont want to bother with the install part, and have a more stable, beginner friendly destro.
I would suggest Manjaro, its Arch's answer to Mint.
I would suggest opening a forum thread and see what everyone thinks over there ^^.

Quoting: nepo(so I fear Arch Linux ;)) - but also I'm not a total beginner (don't want to start a 'distro war' here of course, just hoping for a few tips for the next fresh install).I think this question was to liam, but I can resist in giving some thouts aswell.
