Looks like VR support for Linux will be shown off at SteamDevDays this week, about time
12 Oct 2016 at 4:01 pm UTC

I know this is starting to be a very bad joking. But we need some title like hl3 for linux for a month before it goes out on windows. Could boost the Linux user base, Judging by the small playerbase Linux still have I dont see any point in VR for linux.
At the monent VR is very expensiv for the avrage consumer and you need a beast of a pc to play.
Most of the titles I know of atleast only support Windows, and some very few mac.

I know some new tech will come to the VR headset I dunno if its the next generation or if it can be applyed to this to, but it will make it less demanding on the hardware required.
But who knows, maybe valve got it all figured out already, and to be fair, its not really fair to force a player base to an os or a system. Like the console wars seems to do now adays.

Steam Hardware Weekend sale, bag some cheap kit, Steam Controller now has accessories
30 Sep 2016 at 12:07 pm UTC

That skin looks really nice. I would probably get a steam controller in the future.
*Looks at his xbox controller* - When will you die?

But is the steam controller even useful outside of steam?
Or is it built to steam?
And can I still get the same value if I use it outside of steam?
Im not saying Im not using steam, but I have been getting less active and prefer sites like GoG.

Just a heads up, Saints Row: The Third on Linux has broken co-op play
30 Sep 2016 at 11:40 am UTC

When I played this on windows, when was released, its co-op was broken aswell, I think it still is not working 100% correct. Sync issues was a big problem I recalled, and it accured more often when u where in a car.

But a total crash is a bit more brutal I must say.

'Osiris: New Dawn', a graphically impressive multiplayer adventure and survival game coming to Linux

The game is being developed on Unity. We are striving for MAC/Linux/Steam OS. Not all of them will be supported when we launch on Early Access.
Wait. What does that mean? I read it as something like, "Gonna try to get this game on Mac and Linux/SteamOS --- but ultimately, only one of these two when we release on Early Access." So it will be available on Mac OR Linux/SteamOS upon Early Access release?
I take that as, all system will be supported. But during EA or at the launche of there EA progam, they wont support all systems, mac/steamos or linux. I assume if linux dont get the support, it will be added later down the dev road map or after the game is out of EA. And Im not saying its not coming linux or is confirmed.

But to me it seems they want to support all systems, maybe not right away.
Like they say them selfs.

Almost any sci fi game that support linux is a insta buy for me.

The Long Dark gets a massive update, which fixes a critical Linux audio bug
26 Sep 2016 at 1:35 pm UTC

Finaly, no more restart is needed from that awful sound bug.
TLD is also one of a few games thats shows how EA is done, or how it should be done.

Im still very hyped for the npc and all the upcoming travel options, seasons and mutch mutch more :D.
But one stable update at a time.

'SOMA' from Frictional Games sales figures released, Linux accounted for around 1.1% of sales
24 Sep 2016 at 12:19 pm UTC

ouch, thats a scary small amount of sells on linux.
Glad they are still wanting to support us.

I imagen they dont lose money on it, and dont gain to mutch eather.
They really got nothing more to lose then time.

And in the long run, this might be a smart move.
If valve will have there wishes fulfilled with the steam os.

Just look at feral and the relationship between linux and feral,
And devs that want to support linux get the same amount of love as feral do.
Soo to support linux from the start, the start I mean as when valve released there steam machines/steamos,
could create som good fan boys, saying this in a positive way.

I do.
So do I! :)

Blue Velvet, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive are one of my favourite movies.
I think there are different endings to the game, to add more replay value you can play it again to get more story or another ending that can explain more.

I really loved the dialog, the story and the weird things that happens in the forest.
And it made me want to find more and explore more :D.

And once the ending was there, I guess I expected some thing more epic, something that could explain stuff for me more clearly.
But like you said, some dont like Blue Velvet, and some love it.
I guess its the same thing with firewatch, and its way to explain the story.

The game is great, until you get to the end. And I dont say that cause I want more.
It felt like sopranos all over again, so meny questions, and no answers.

GOG will be adding games with virtual items purchases, according to changes in legal agreements
15 Sep 2016 at 9:13 am UTC

Quoting: ShmerlSounds to me like support for some MMORPG like with in-game purchases (Star Citizen?). Never saw a point for paying for such items with real money. I'd rather buy another game indeed.
I dont want to defend star citizen here, just want to point out.
There is some limits to what you can purches with those credits, and there are also a limit on how mutch you can buy within the game. I dont know if this is stuff regarding in game item, like you can only buy certen items or if its limited to, lets say clothing, skins and stuff to your ship.
There could also be a limit to how mutch SC money you are able to buy for real money.

But if SC is pay2win, Im sad and Im off, dont want to play a game where you can just pay your way to the top.
If your read the wiki, SC states it wont be pay2win once it gets released, and I hope they stick to it.
At the moment it is, and I dont mind backers having a head start.
