This is why I "hate" proton and wine. Its great tools to run windows games, but its also alot cheaper to develop a game for windows and make it work good with proton.
Valve with there money machine should pay or offer a great discout in % taken from a sell, to however sells a linux port. I know this article has nothing to do with proton, but Im afraid we will see more of this the better wine and proton gets. I was looking forward to play this, I hope they consider making a port later.

Path of Exile continues down the Vulkan path, with a possible port to Linux mentioned

Been put off by the POE graphics.
PoE2 looks really crips tho, I really hope we get to see a linux port :).

Yet, we know. A Vulkan renderer does not automatically mean Linux support. :/
But he said the word! Linux :D

Looks like Valve could be set to launch something called Steam Cloud Gaming

A streaming service that got me excited for once :).
Would be a bummer if its just cross-platform saves for games on steam.

Dota Underlords introduces a Duos mode, the Underlords, a new UI and more

Quoting: DamonLinuxPLAs for me Underlord is another dead game. Every month player base is smaller and smaller...
It has around 30k players daily, to me that's a healthy playerbase. Underlords will have more players around updates and it hade alot of players on its release day, like most games. It will probably peak again once its out of early access. It's a casual game and I don't play it myself, but it's far from dead

Keep an eye on 'Veloren', an open source multiplayer voxel RPG written in Rust

Finaly, we dont need to shout in the forums in cube world about a linux port.
This one seems to be what we are looking for ^^. Even tho, cubeworld runs flawless under proton/wine.
Gonna try this one out when it gets a bit more updates, even tho its free, I still hope for a steam launch :).

The WWI FPS 'Tannenberg' is free to play this weekend, plus all M2H games on sale

Mesa 19.2 released to push open source graphics drivers
26 Sep 2019 at 1:08 pm UTC

Quoting: MayeulCWell, I guess they are using their distro packages. And it's often distro policy (Debian, Slackware) to follow "if it ain't broken, don't fix it": no major upgrades between distribution releases, because you risk breaking stuff that's already working. That's stability at all cost, which is great for some uses. Your stuff won't necessarily work better with updates, but at least it won't be worse.
Its arch based and somewhat "cutting edge". Only difference from arch seems to be, they test it a bit harder before it gets out to the stable version of manjaro. So Im sure they will put out the new mesa version if its doing fine in testing :).

Cool, better performace is always better ^^. Only thing i never got or understood, some here seems to still want to stick with an older mesa. Any reason for this? And how do one still stick with an older version?
I use manjaro so I mostly dont bother, the community tests everything before it goes on the stabel version of manjaro. And I havent got any hickups before, still the more you know :).
