as a c# dotnet developer/student I can confirm that microsoft want to support linux better there as well.
With dotnet you will also have better c++,c and c# support under linux in the future :).
They support it now, but its a bit terrible at the moment.

A newly public patent (filed in 2018) from Valve shows a Steam Controller with attachments

I dont undestand why valve dont release mounts for the steam controller, mounts where you can attach your phone to a steam controller. There are third party solutions but they are also expensiv :/. And if they ever make a new controller I would prefer it to feel less cheap and be more rubust plastic or somoe other material. But the steam contoller is still one of the most customizeble controllers Iv been using. But over all they dont beat microsoft.

Canonical need a little testing hand for a newer Steam package on Ubuntu 20.04

Quoting: cusa123I would love to try the vr but it is impossible with a single viewer htc vive pro or valve index too expensive.
Give it a while longer, they will get cheaper. More and more "budget" headset will arrive.
And maybe valve will sell of there index or make a cheaper version, vr are still a new cool thing.
And The vive cosmos just got a cheaper headset called vive cosmos play, and its alot cheaper then the original cosmos.

Steam reportedly coming to Chrome OS - Linux gaming across even more devices
17 Jan 2020 at 4:14 pm UTC

Im confused :S. Can you even game on a chrome book, its cloud based right ?
Yes valve seems to be working on support for a cloud based gaming, similer to microsofts xcloud or googles stadia.

But google already got stadia for cloud gaming, so why do they need steam?
Maybe its valve who needs chrome os, or maybe steamOs needs help from chrome os?

But lets hope for more good news for linux and steam for linux :).
Sadly Iv gone back to microsoft alot do to gaming and school :/, its okey,
but I prefer linux if I hade that option.

Alot of good titles on the way :). Im hoping for escape from tarkov aswell, nothing confirmed only speculation. At the moment it makes me dual boot cause of there anti-cheat thingy. They use the same stuff as in PUGB and Destiny 2.
