Celestian Tales: Realms Beyond, an RPG that follows on from Celestian Tales: Old North

If you don't own Old North, the Squire level pledge is a fantastic deal. It includes Old North + all DLC for $14. To get Old North + DLC on GOG, it would cost you ~$25, so getting it plus Realms Beyond for $14 is a fantastic deal!!

It isn't clear on the Kickstarter page, but I messaged Ekuator Games via KS, and they confirmed that the Old North codes given will be for both Steam and GOG!

Fishing Planet leaves Early Access with full Linux support, also has the Unity fullscreen bug

Quoting: NanobangIt is, after all, listed as a simulation, and catching nothing (what my father called "being skunked" ) after hours of trying is part of what makes fishing fishing.

If fishing was easy, it would be called "Catching".

Looks like GOG Galaxy won't come to Linux any time soon, as it's "not a priority"

Quoting: elbuglioneStop GOG advertising, they are NOT Linux friendly.
My GOG account has over 200 Linux games that would say otherwise.

I don't want their client, so I don't really care if they ever make it for Linux, so long as they continue to sell Linux games.

That does not really say anything about GOG being Linux friendly though, <snip>

How so? Do they sell and support Linux games? Yes. Sounds pretty Linux friendly to me. Sure GOG could be doing more to support Linux. But you have to remember, they could also be doing less.

Quoting: Guest200 games... But how do you update them? Even if you just install 10% it would be a lot of manual work. The thing is, nobody expects from GOG to offer all features on Linux, just the basics like install and update games. This is not really any effort for them, I don't believe them.

Is it really that much work to update games manually? The beauty of updating manually is that the update happens when I want it to.

lgogdownloader and gogrepo make update management pretty easy.

It is a bit troubling that there are games that don't have a Linux version on GOG due to the lack of Linux Galaxy (Descent Underground is one).

We Happy Few to launch on April 13th 2018, Linux release will be 'on or shortly after'

I backed this on KS based on the Linux promise. From what I've seen, the game looks and sounds fantastic! Hopefully they can deliver on the promised scope / quality, as well as the on the Linux port!

So far, Compulsion have been one of my best experiences on KS. Communication has been fantastic. I look forward to every weekly update they send. They've been very informative on the whole process of developing the game.

Quoting: Solitary... because if the games are DRM free, they are DRM free on Steam too and if they are not, then they aren't and won't ever be on GOG anyway...

This is actually not true. It's surprising to me how many games are available DRM free from GOG and Humble, and are DRM'ed on Steam. Off the top of my head, both Firewatch and Hand of Fate are available DRM free from GOG, and both are DRM'ed on Steam. I know there's more, but those are the two I remember right now.

I wonder if the Linux version will make its way to GOG? I've already got Silver there.

I've got 186 Linux games in my GOG account that would say otherwise.
