The Humble Paradox Bundle 2018 is a rather enticing deal

I'm going to pass on this one - the only thing I'm missing is Magicka 2, and I'm not much of a co-op player.

Another reason to ditch Nvidia. In a few years, Nvidia will be barely used on Linux. See the trend on the same page you linked to.
As long as AMD can get their shit together in the laptop market, I'll agree with you. Up to now, laptop users who wanted gaming performance had to go with nVidia.

haha I bought it on mobile recently because it was on sale... lemme tell you I'm afraid of buying Planescape, I might never put down my phone...
These infinity engine games were written for mobile they just didn't know it back then.
Truth!

I've been playing through Baldur's Gate on my tablet right now, and it's exactly like you say - designed for mobile. I bought all four when they were on sale....

There's masses of good Linux games on sale right now

These wine-wrappers are pretty much perfect in my experience.

X-Plane user data shows Linux usage holding steady

Quoting: scaineAnd while I get your argument about dual-booting and Wine gaming and so on, you have to remember that many people wouldn't be using Linux at all if it weren't for those options.
This.

I certainly wouldn't have completely switched to Linux if WINE didn't exist. WINE and I have had a rocky relationship, and I've refused to use it at all for long periods of time. I do still have a hand-full of games that I use WINE for.

As a general rule, I only buy Linux games, but every now and again GOG hits me right in the nostalgia, and I buy a non-Linux game to play via WINE.

Pillars of Eternity: Definitive Edition announced for later this month, new content included

The new Deadfire Pack DLC will also be made available for free to all existing (and future) owners of Pillars of Eternity on Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs to thank them for their ongoing support of what has become one of the world’s most beloved RPGs.
Says the website.
If it doesn't show up on release you may drop them a mail. I'll do it too in that case :)
You can quote yourself if you like, but neither your original post, nor their website answers my question.

I have the basic pre-order edition, which is essentially the Hero edition. The Definitive edition is going to include all content from the Royal edition. Obsidian has never offered any way for people to upgrade already purchased editions.

I'll get the Deadfire DLC for free, and I can buy the White March DLCs, but I still won't have all of the content of the new Definitive edition.

And unless they offer some sort of upgrade path, the only way to get that content is to re-buy the whole game, which I'm not willing to do.

Quoting: Mountain ManI wonder if there will be a lower-priced upgrade for people who already own the original game?
This. I have the pre-order edition on GOG, but neither of the White March DLC.

I doubt, seeing as they've not had any upgrades between editions since release, but I can hope!

Can anybody see a DRM-Free download of the Whistleblower DLC for Linux? I can only see a windows one.
Nope. I've owned Outlast + Whistleblower on Humble for a long time, and there's never been a Linux version of the Whistleblower. It's frustrating for sure. GOG has a Linux version of Whistleblower, so I'm not sure what the problem is for Humble. I emailed Humble, they said check with the developer. I emailed the developer and never got a response.

Celestian Tales: Realms Beyond, an RPG that follows on from Celestian Tales: Old North
30 Aug 2017 at 4:35 pm UTC

If you don't own Old North, the Squire level pledge is a fantastic deal. It includes Old North + all DLC for $14. To get Old North + DLC on GOG, it would cost you ~$25, so getting it plus Realms Beyond for $14 is a fantastic deal!!

It isn't clear on the Kickstarter page, but I messaged Ekuator Games via KS, and they confirmed that the Old North codes given will be for both Steam and GOG!

Quoting: NanobangIt is, after all, listed as a simulation, and catching nothing (what my father called "being skunked" ) after hours of trying is part of what makes fishing fishing.
If fishing was easy, it would be called "Catching".
