Nothing interesting for me, personally, this time. Too close to a possible Autumn and/or Winter sales anyway.
And... I have far too many unplayed games ^^

Never played a Cossacks game but I have to say that Cossacks 3 looks pretty beautiful. I'd definitely pick it up if they release it on GOG.com.
You might want to keep an eye on 'Silence', the new point & click adventure from Daedalic Entertainment

Probably said it before but I really don't like Daedalic adventures. Their artwork usually is fantastic. But the stories and most of all the characters are horrible and nerve-racking in my opinion.
Silence looks gorgeous though and I will keep an eye on it. I really hope that the characters in Silence are nothing like Sadwick in The Whispered World.

Tyranny, the massive new RPG from Obsidian Entertainment releases today day-1 on Linux, our review

It sounded to me that the freedom of choice was only to choose between fractions/certain actions but to act evil in the end nonetheless.
I'd be glad if there is more to the game and a wider variety of choices than just being evil.
Anyway, I'll keep an eye on this game.

Quoting: HarbingerBecause that's how the game sounds to me like from its description and the different reviews I've read/heard so far.Quoting: PlintslchoBut playing as a handyman of a tyrannic regime and not having a chance to do better than leaving scorched earth behind, I'm not so sure if I could enjoy that. Why do you assume that?
Quoting: BTREI'm not sure where people are getting that the game forces you to commit 'evil' acts from this review.Again, from its own description and the reviews. How many times have I read by now that in this game the player can finally be evil- something that's allegedly not possible in so many other RPGs (I think the player can act quite like an a$$hole in PoE as well).

Quoting: GuestAs much as I absolutely loved Pillars of Eternity, I find myself having a difficult time finding any interest in this game. I think it's the premise, as the spell concept seems pretty cool. It's the thought of playing as the bad guys that irks me, which I know is a huge shift away from the usual cliché of saving the day as the good guy. It's not just that you're the bad guys, it's that you're part of the bad guy regime that already won and you're trying to keep your jackboot on top of the oppressed peoples.Nope, you're absolutely not alone here. That's exactly what put me off this game in the first place. I admit that I like the art style and graphics and after enjoying PoE so much, I assume Tyranny is a good game as well.
While I get that there's probably a whole lot more to that, this is sort of the impression I've got of this game.
If I could start the game, right out, fighting this Kyros guy (as a plot option), maybe. It seems like a really well developed/constructed game. I realize I'm in the minority with this viewpoint, but I figured I'd throw my $0.02 in.

GOG currently have a big sale on, snap up some cheap DRM free Linux games

The FAQ also mentions something about a gift code if one already owns one of the three games, which in my case is Dex that I already own, and I haven't received that code either. So I'll wait a little longer and contact GOG.com maybe tomorrow if by then the games don't show up in my library.
In the end, I wasn't after the free games but only the games that I've bought anyway.

Quoting: NelThanks Nel, I already did and redeemed all three games. But still, they are not showing in my library.Quoting: PlintslchoAlso unlocked the three free games but for some reason they haven't been added to my account yet. I've also picked up Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition and Stardew Valley.
I'm currently totally fascinated by Pillars of Eternity so I'm pretty sure I'll also enjoy Divinity, which I've always been interested in anyway.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided released for Linux, port report and review
4 Nov 2016 at 6:58 pm UTC
Even though I think Feral also mentioned it during their live gameplay on Twitch it’s good to know that motion blur can be turned off. I already noted during the just mentioned show that the PC version has the same "problem" the PS4 version has that all objects/textures get kind of blurry as soon as the character makes just as much as the slightest movement. And since Deus Ex Mankind Divided is one of the very few games I get sick of after playing for an hour or so it’s good to know that there are options in the PC version that might allow better fine tuning and turning all the excessive effects off.
And even though I’m not playing the game, thanks for porting such a fantastic game- and what’s more, so close after the original release of the game on consoles and Windows.
Kudos Feral!

Quoting: JahimselfI took me a while, but I finaly found settings to make the game look "okay" with "okay" average fps. I find it looking sharper than on ultra. (and it runs as fast as normal presets for me) Some effects are better on ultra, but you won't notice them that much while playing, and some of them I really don't like. Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.
If like me you don't like the blurry and pixelated image caused by all FX used to give a photographic aspect to the game, you could try them and give your feedback:
-Texture Quality = Very High
-Texture Filtering (Anisotropic)= 8
-Shadow Quality = Medium
-Contact Hardening Shadows = Off
-Temporal Anti Aliasing = On
-Motion Blur = Off
-Depth of Field = Off
-Bloom = On
-Lens Flare = Off
-Volumetric Lighting = On
-Surface Scatering = On
-Cloth Physics = On
-Ambient Occlusion = On
-Tessalation = Off
-Parallax Occlusion Mapping = High
-Screenspace Reflections = On
-Sharpen = On
-Chromatic Aberration = Off
-Level of Detail = Very High
There might be a way to tweak it a bit more to improve quality without loosing fps.
Final Result:
Min: 28.2fps
Average: 45.2fps
Maximum: 69.7fps
Ultra settings was at 34.9 on average.
Specs: GTX970, i7 2600 (@3,9GHz), 12GB Ram, 1440*900 resolution

Quoting: edddeduckferalThe first run is the graphics driver compiling and caching shaders to optimise the game experience and avoid in level stutters. After the first run the Nvidia cache in the driver should mean much faster loading (exact time depends on your hardware) updating the drivers will require the cache to be rebuilt but apart from that it should be a one shot deal.Again, thanks for sharing. Having some technical information is always good to help understanding what’s going on and why, for example, the loading times take a little longer.
As mentioned earlier in this thread Mesa doesn't have caching support yet so you have a longer load every time but that will go away once Mesa impliment the caching mechanism in the future.
And even though I’m not playing the game, thanks for porting such a fantastic game- and what’s more, so close after the original release of the game on consoles and Windows.
