I was interested in this game. But the comments in the GOG.com forum suggest that the support for The Escapist has so far been kind of lacking. So I'm not going to pay any money for another game from the same team.
A New BATTLETECH Game From Harebrained Schemes Is On Kickstarter, Funded Already

New game by Harebrained Schemes - check
Sci-Fi setting - check
...
Yeah well, take my money already. Backed.
Just like Keyrock, the Kickstarter hype has worn off on me. But once in a while their's a project that I think is worth supporting. This is such a project. While I was never a fan of the Battletech tabletop game, I still like the setting. And with their Shadorun games Harebrained Schemes have proven already that they produce fantastic games for Linux. I didn't need to think twice to back this up.

SOMA, Frictional Games Latest Horror & Adventure Game Released For Linux, Some Initial Thoughts

Maybe the game isn't as scary as Amnesia (I'm not so sure about that, though) but that's fine with me because this way I can concentrate better on the story; I really want to continue playing and discover more of what's going on.
By the way, I had some DBUS address error at startup with the game bought from GOG.com.
But that was easily fixed by moving libSDL2* out of the games lib64 folder so that the game uses the system library.

Quoting: HadBabitsI quite enjoy the theme in this one over Amnesia or Penumbra (though I enjoy them both).Yeah, same here. I really enjoy the setting and the graphics and sounds are simply beautiful and absolutely atmospheric.

Well, while I really dislike Steam, I may consider picking this game up. I consider Alien as one of the best sci-fi (horror) films ever made and from what I've seen on YouTube about this game, it simply looks amazing.
In any case, it's fantastic news that another great title is coming to Linux.

XCOM never caught my interest. I have Xenonauts already, which I think is a beautiful tactical game in the spirit of the original XCOM games.
I watched a gameplay trailer of XCOM 2 though and was impressed how they managed to fluently combine actual gameplay with story telling and cutscenes. That's nicely done.

KING Art Games Announces Linux Version Of Fantasy RPG 'The Dwarves'

KING Art has already proven in the past that they deliver great games, even those that they've realized through Kickstarter. I'm mightily impressed by The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (love the first one too) and how flawless the retail version works on Linux. And best of all: DRM free.
The Dwarves already looks pretty good judging by the video, so this time I've backed their new project up. A team that creates such beautiful games for Linux and even DRM free deserves support and I'm confident that their new project will be a success again.

Satellite Reign Strategy Game Released For Linux, Some Impressions

I've only played very little but really like what I've seen so far, especially that there always seem to be a way to sneek into the objective area.

Quoting: IgnisLoading times are killing me.Same here. Apart from that the game is really beautiful. It really has something of Deus Ex Human Revolution gone RTS.
