Hearthlands Is Exactly The Type Of City-builder A Lazy Sunday Needs For Linux Gamers

I never was really interested in the game, always though it looks to simplistic. Your short article made me change my mind, Liam. I had a look again and finally though that it doesn't look so bad at all. I finally bought the game and am not regretting it. It's indeed cute and quite a lot of fun.

Thanks!

Grand Ages: Medieval From Kalypso Media Digital Looks Like It Will Be On Linux

To me the game looks like Civilization with a touch of Knights of Honor, maybe with a little less complexity. Not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I think the game looks quite interesting (I don't like the character portraits, tough). I'm just not very thrilled because I know it's going to be a Steam game. Without Steam I would probably pick it up.

SOMA, The Next Horror Game From Frictional Games Should Have Day-1 Linux Support

I am so looking forward for this game. The only thing I'm a little disappointed with is that the game is playing in an underwater base- and that I know it already. I would've preferred it to be in space. Also, I would have preferred to find out by myself that it isn't a space game. That's the disadvantage of watching YouTube videos.

Shadowrun: Hong Kong Now Available
23 Aug 2015 at 1:20 pm UTC

I totally lost the game from the radar and was quite surprised to find it released on Thursday. Downloaded the game already but like others, I haven't finished Dragonfall yet and will start to play it only after I played through Dragonfall.

It does look pretty good though and the intro video really has a great vibe to it. I'm certainly looking forward playing the game.

The Forgotten Realms Archives Now On GOG For Linux, Eye Of The Beholder 1,2,3 & More!
23 Aug 2015 at 1:09 pm UTC

Nice addition to the GOG.com catalogue.

Eye of the Beholder didn't interest me back in the day. But looking at the screenshots now or watching some actual gameplay footage -- especially the beautiful intro of the games -- it brings back some fond memories. I guess I'll pick the EotB games up at the next sales.

Developers Of Strategy Game Halfway Show Linux Sales & Support Requests

The statistics are only marginally interesting to me and I don't worry much about them; I don't have a clue what the criteria was and how those figures were compiled. And as LeonardK has already pointed out, there seem to be some glitches in the table as well.

I picked the game up at launch and still think it's a beautiful pixel art game. Also I really like the soundtrack of the game. I enjoyed it only for a short period of time though. The gameplay was too repetitive for my liking and too frustrating/unsatisfying.

GOG Have Supported Linux For Just Over A Year, Announce New Linux Installer System

Hmh, looks interesting albeit I was perfectly fine with the tar files. But if this will make patching easier it sure is a good thing.

Haven't been shopping much on GOG.com anymore. I really hope they'll release the Metro games for Linux as well though.

Nice release. I'm interested in the game but read a lot of negative press/comments. Might pick it up when it is on sales.

Shadowrun: Hong Kong RPG Arrives On August 20th For Linux

Sweet! I'm a backer and am really looking forward to it. Now I only need to finish Dragonfall first before Hong Kong hits the shelves.

Victor Vran Says Goodbye To Early Access, Hello To Being Awesome
27 Jul 2015 at 7:13 pm UTC

Seems like the game isn't coming to GOG.com for Linux any time soon.

"To quote our CTO – “The Steam Linux build relies heavily on the Steam runtime to smooth over differences between different Linux distros.”

We are looking into the compatibility problem but we currently have no timeline for it since we are focused on the post-release updates and free DLCs."

Well, might as well pick the game up later on sales then, if and when the game has become available on GOG.com, completely with all kind of DLCs and what not by then.
