10 years already! Time sure flies.
It also shows that Linux is a great OS also for gaming.

Thanks Liam for your work and also thanks to the community here at GoL.
It's always interesting to read all the different opinions of people here at GoL.

Sweet! This is definitely something I'll keep an eye on.
It would be great if they remaster the first game as well. Or, better yet, make a new Commandos game. :-)

The game looks sweet. I like the sci-fi setting.
Too bad it's not available on GOG.com.

Quoting: rcritI got the game from an early Humble Bundle. I wonder how I can get access to the updated bits.
The game has been updated on Humble as well and was part of the Humble Bundle 2.

If you have your key (link) for the Humble Bundle 2 you can grab the updated game.

Haven't played much. But what I've seen so far I really like. The pixel art simply is beautiful. I love it!

Combat definitely feels better compared to Halfway. Already lost a character on my first go. But at the end of that particular fight I got a new companion- a wild dog. Don't know if that was due to the lost character or not, but it really is a nice touch.

The adventure strategy RPG 'Pathway' is releasing for Linux next week

This is going to be a day one purchase.

Love the pixel art combined with the gorgeous lighting effects.
Just like Halfway. But judging from the videos the combat seems more streamlined compared to Halfway, which I'd appreciate.

This looks beautiful! I hope they'll release the game on GOG.com too.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire just got a beta to add in a turn-based mode

This sounds really good and could be just the right game/combat mode for me.
I still haven't finished the first PoE though, so it probably will take some time before I will give this mode a try.

I have to say that I really like Josh Sawyer and the Obsidian videos in general.
And Portishead... ah, that brings back memories!

Some Linux games we’re excited to see in 2019, a list to keep you going

Quoting: g000hInto The Breach - Sunset Games did say they'd port to Linux (eventually).
Pretty much the only game I'd love to play on Linux at the moment.

But I have to admit, since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 I've lost all interest in PC gaming. I'm sure this is going to be an interesting year for Linux and Linux gaming nonetheless.

Here is an alpha gameplay video from Gamescom 2018:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kACPYJlnErA [External Link]

I like the fact that the player can walk in the streets without rising any alarms (3:34). This really makes the game feel more like a breathing, living world instead of an interactive chess board.

Also I like how the player can collect hints by listening to NPCs (4:18 & 4:50).

What I don't like is the gore. I hope they tone that down.

But the dialog between the characters really is great.

All in all, the alpha footage already looks fantastic.

Now, this only needs to come to Linux as well. My wallet is ready.
