This looks beautiful indeed.
Will keep an eye on this new title.

Sudden Strike 4 updated again with full camera rotation, increased zoom and more
12 Feb 2018 at 6:50 pm UTC

The updated version of the game is not yet available at GOG.com. But full camera rotations sounds great! I'm really missing that in the game.

Sudden Strike 4 is one of my personal favourites of 2017. The graphics are amazing! My only gripe is the limited line of sight and that commanders and snipers are basically just as useful as any other infantry in this game.

Still I'm greatly enjoying this game and hope that the developers will add some more single player missions. I'm currently about to finish the last mission of the German campaign.

The FPS 'Insurgency: Sandstorm' has a new teaser trailer

Quoting: GuestBattleye is a ongoing debate with tons of people vehemently attacking anyone who says it's a privacy issue. From what I have read Battleye IS a privacy issue. The documents I could find on how it works basically says it scans all your drives for file and file contents and reports back to home. [...]
Thanks for pointing this out.

I must admit that I didn’t pay much attention to it before. I wasn’t even aware of BattlEye, or maybe I read about it in an announcement but didn’t care because I thought “naw, don’t need that”, not knowing what it is and what it does. But now that I looked into it I must say that I find the whole affair quite worrying.

To be fair, what BattlEye does isn’t anything unusual but pretty much what almost any other anti-cheat program does, e.g. PunkBuster (and I’m sure VAC isn’t any different). But that doesn’t make it any better. It is alarming how these programs work and what they do with regards to privacy.

I’ve been using Steam only with a dedicated and separate user anyway, because I already don’t trust Steam. But after checking up on BattlEye I went one step further and put Steam in a jail. However, I have lost all interest now in online gaming and turned my attention back to playing single player games.

As for the new trailer:

Quoting: Guest[…]I think it's a super cut of campaign cut scenes that won't have anything to do with the real game.
My thought exactly. (They already announced that the campaign is postponed until further noticed.)

He has some nice works based on The Witcher series:

Beautiful artwork indeed. But I'm a sucker for alternate history/steam punk settings, so I like those artworks of him even more.

No doubt though that he is a very talented artist.

Finished.

I really hope that they'll start a Kickstarter campaign for this project. If they promise a DRM-free Linux release, I'll literally throw my money at them. This is the most interesting looking game/setting in years.

FPS game 'Day of Infamy' has a big update with a new map, new environment art and more

This is currently the only game I'm playing besides of The Signal from Tölva and I'm still greatly enjoying it. No problems whatsoever. The new map is a pure frenzy though, not my cup of tea. Gave it a once-over yesterday in coop and am not looking to playing it again. Looks great though.

I appreciate all the improvements New World Interactive is doing to this game. Played a couple of rounds of Insurgency lately, and geez, this game is so much better in my opinion (and so are the players).

The Signal From Tölva is now officially released for Linux on Steam & GOG

That was a great deal that I couldn't resist.

I was sceptical first but I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy this game. The graphics are beautiful and while it is slow paced and relaxing, the firefights are tense. But then again, I also enjoy just walking around and marveling at the scenery.

They should've gotten Carbon Based Lifeforms make a soundtrack for this game. :-)

Looks like the open-world FPS 'The Signal From Tölva' is now on Linux

The game looks super beautiful. But from the videos I've watched so far I had the impression there isn't much going on in the game. Still, it looks amazing.

Holy cow, this looks amazing!

I'm tempted to back this project up...
