Quoting: mr-eggdid you notice the games actual vsync drops about 15 - 20fps ? In this instance its better to just turn it off and use the compositor ( providing your using a decent one )
I never use vsync...it goes against my middle class sensibilities

Saints Row IV now available on SteamOS and Linux

I have to say that the game initially ran like the poops for me (medium settings = avg 30fps) but after turning off AA, forcing my cpu governor to performance (sudo cpupower frequency-set -g performance) in terminal and then cracking up every other in game setting to high to compensate visually for the lack of AA, I averaged 50fps in the city....not too shabby for initial release on Eon

Broforce and Mordor. Would usually be playing Borderlands 2 as well but I like to have a little break every 100 hours or so of game time

Quoting: lvlarkI'm always kinda surprised with how little Wine usage changes. I'd expect that with more and more games available natively, that number would go down. Maybe it just needs more time. Maybe it doesn't really matter to me though.
I do wonder how much of that wine percentage is down to Skyrim or Fallout 3 / New Vegas. I bet it would drop considerably if Bethesda released them natively.

Genuinely disappointed by the lack of pomp on behalf of Valve. This should have been a big deal but aside from the sale it is flatter than my last off-the-cuff remark.

Sorry for any offence caused.

Darksiders & Darksiders II Linux Ports Have Not Been Forgotten About

I do have to say though, that I have been waiting for this since it's original announcement by Leszek a couple of years back. It is one of those games that really went under the radar with a lot of people which is a shame since it is almost a Zelda game for non-nintendo systems.

I really enjoyed it on 'Doze

I swear this port is the Linux equivalent of Duke Nukem Forever....except even if it is a broken mess it will still be considerably better.
