I maybe alone in this respect but since I have been using Linux since the mid 90's I got my jollies playing things in Wine, the few native games or on other emulators just because I thought it was so cool to be able to do things on Linux (as far as gaming goes and was usually floored it worked) , now that it has come so far people are comparing it to Windows and in Window's last bastion. How wicked is that?

One thing I want you guys to keep in mind, the entire Steam machine concept was born out of rebellion to "Windows Store" which never materialized. The full out war that would of ensued and all the Linux goodness that could of been was just a fart in the wind compared to the hurricane that was coming down the pike. Microsoft kowtowed to Valve and no more Windows lock down (ironically it probably would of finally made Windows computing a safe affair without having to run AV all the time). So now the whole thing is just a concept to remind Microsoft to not mess with the cash cow that is the biggest game retailer on the only platform where Microsoft has the most (or really any* remaining) sway.
*People maybe too young to remember MS having to buy its way into the console wars and losing billions doing so, only in the last few years of xbox360 did MS even start to see a profit from all that work, and now the XBONE is dying and they're slowly losing whatever power they once had even here.

Windows vs Linux arguments? Just to put it out there Android will use Vulkan as well. And Android accounts for what like 60% or all people atm? I really don't know just pulled that number out of my arse. As far as Nvidia putting it out there, some posts are right at the moment there will be very little impact except as a DOTA2 backend.

I want a good MMO on linux however I'm just sick of mining and gathering in a freaking MMO. Minecraft ruined video games forever. MMO's DO NOT NEED (*forced) CRAFTING! I'm a viking, I can also sew, cook and create jewelry because you never know when you need to craft rings on a friggen raid. Like GW was so great then GW2 comes along and shoves a crap ton of things you need to do because you need to be able to craft armor.. DUMB.
*edit: just to be clear, crafting in any game is fine, when it is a skill that needs (read: forces you to) grinding so you can get armor or whatever it's a bad mechanic. To me (who started with EQ in 98) if I'm not out slaying I'm not playing. Proudly I never played WoW either so the cartoon graphic stuff is lost on me.

Honestly though the way Hollywood screwed up a couple AVP movies in a row I think we need to find an indie company to make so actually good AVP movies.

I did this in just a couple of hours... Got bored and quality kinda suffered at the end. Pencil & paper scan colored in GIMP.
But my how you guys are clever with the Tux's!
Just because you guys made alien Tux's I had to make something to solve that!

Edit, if I do want to be angry with Liam for some reason, that's my prerogative and will do so if I please to do so. There has been plenty of instances where he acted less than professional on this site and even took jabs at members saying such wonderful things. Seriously guy go suck a lemon with your Liam is infallible cult like crap.

Quoting: wojtek88@Xzyl you're missing main idea of this site I guess. Liam is not a tester, who tries all the possible hardware configuration and gives final verdict of the linux version of the game. He is an enthusiast who does a lot for us, the community. He always says that he wrotes about his personal opinion about the game and always advises that he would like to hear a feedback from us. If you are dissapointed about the game quality - just request a refund. Do not be mad at Liam who does a great job for all of us.Next thing you will say is Michael and his click bait do great things for the Linux community. I wasn't mad I simply said he shouldn't say works great in a title when it's simply not true. Anyhow after the 24'th update can anyone get into game?

When I used the word invest I was serious it was an investment. I believed in helping bring what I thought was a fun looking game to Linux because they promised it. I would gladly pay them 20 fold and not get them game just to have them of brought it to Linux like promised. Stocks fall all the time when companies fall short of their goals/expectations/projected earnings so why can't I be angry at a company promising things it doesn't deliver on when I become an investor?
Just to be clear to the guy who said give money because you want to, what if I made a kick starter promising some great graphics RPG that also has FPS elements on it and it's cross platform!!! Turns out I couldn't make good on my promises and it's a simple 2 minute orthographic "game" where fish rain out of the sky killing you instantly and only runs on c64 but that's okay right? To not make good on promises like that? Because people "wanted" to give me money?
