Point-And-Click Adventure 'Moebius' Looks Close To A Linux Release
4 February 2015 at 9:20 am UTC

Quoting: DisharmonicDid you actually sign up for a beta at some point?

I sent them an email saying I'd be interested in testing the Linux build after they posted an update on 3rd December asking for beta testers on Linux.

Quoting: toorI have heard this game is really really really bad, care.

Reviews of the game are very mixed, so it's worth looking into a few of them. USGamer gave the game a 4.5 out of 5 rating, while GameSpot landed on a 4 out of 10. On Steam the game has "mostly positive" user ratings, with many of the negative ones noting that the game is too short, is full of bugs and looks bad.

Review: Forward To The Sky Now On Linux
3 February 2015 at 12:44 am UTC

Thanks for the thorough review. I don't care much about combat, but I've had my eye on this, thinking it might be a decent 3D platformer. If the puzzles are boring, the collecting trivial and the platforming uninteresting, it doesn't sound like there's much left to enjoy though.

Linux Port Of Platformer 'Giana Sisters' Brought In-House, Sequel Might Get Same-Day Release

Quoting: KeizgonTo be honest, I foresee bugs (hopefully just minor) on its Linux launch day. However, as long as the developer is more than willing to work with us in bugfixes and updates on a regular basis, we should remain positive and most importantly, constructive in our feedback.

Yeah, I definitely agree with this, and people in the Linux thread on their Steam forums have actually for the most part been very patient and understanding. Something you usually don't see much of on the Steam forums unfortunately.

RogueSweeper, A Mashup Of Minesweeper And A Roguelike Now On Linux

QuoteI always liked Minesweeper, so having a more interesting version of it is a fun idea, and it managed to keep me entertained!

Have you played the Hexcells games? They're a bit like Minesweeper but they don't require guessing and are hand-crafted, so they make for a much more interesting experience.

Gravity Ghost Released For Linux, It's Bloody Lovely

Quoting: lucifertdarkAnyone else think this is similar to the game Beyond Gravity but a bit more complex?

I can see the superficial similarities, but it's not similar at all. I thought Beyond Gravity was fun for a while and I've "completed" it, but it has extremely trivial, one-click controls with very little change in challenges throughout the game. Gravity Ghost has a lot of unlockable skills that change how you can play a lot, completely free-form platforming and it requires skills beyond mere timing of jumps. Gravity also plays an integral role, in that it can be used to gain thrust, but is also a potential obstacle if you get to close to a planet you're trying to navigate around. As mentioned it also has an interesting story; something that Beyond Gravity lacks completely.

Feral Interactive Are Teasing Another Linux Port

Quoting: omer666Ubisoft, no thanks... apart from Michel Ancel games.

Yeah, Beyond Good & Evil would be a dream come true, and I wouldn't mind the Rayman games either. Preferably without a port of Uplay though. ;)

Gravity Ghost Released For Linux, It's Bloody Lovely

I've put an hour and a half into this game and I'm really enjoying it so far too. It controls extremely well and is a pleasure to play; for the gameplay, but also the story that so far seems to have a bit more depth than your run-of-the-mill "game story".

It runs on Unity, but I haven't encountered any technical issues whatsoever. And as mentioned by Lapinopl, they did delay the Linux version for a bit, since they were having some issues, but they managed to get it out only a day after the Windows and Mac versions, so that's not too bad.

Scirra’s 'Construct' Game Creation Editor To Support Linux With Construct 3

It's awesome seeing more and more engines getting native Linux editors. I'm not very familiar with Construct 2, but I know it's what Chosmochoria and the crowd-funded The Slaughter uses.

I'm playing it now and I'm very satisfied with how it turned out. Having it officially supported for Linux is great, and it's awesome that many will now get the chance to play this gem for the first time.
