Quoting: liamdaweSteam should download and overwrite it with the native version, unless you force Steam Play. If it was a whitelisted title, Valve would need to remove it from their whitelist (I know this from experience with another game).Thank you. I will make a backup of the save file before launching steam.

Finished it via Proton a few weeks back. A few performances issues but it's a really good game. Probably the best first person puzzle game since Portal 2 and definitely one of my favorite games of the year so far.
Anyone has any idea how steam will react as I have the windows binaries installed? First time for me that a game goes from steam play to native.

I did some more testing and it's really bad.
Core i7 4790k
GTX 770
At 1920x1080 on ultra I get between 30 and 50 fps. I'm playing with my save file at the end of the game with every power unlocked. When I'm moving it's more often close to 30 than 50. It's unplayable by my standards.
On the same computer and with the same configuration and save file I tried the game on Windows 7 and I get 70-100 fps.

Quoting: DefTorchlight 2 performances are really bad :(Bloom is the culprit. Without it the fps counter is always above 100 in areas where it was below 20.

Around 100 fps most of the time but it goes below 20 fps in some areas on max settings with a GTX770 (proprietary drivers) and a Core i7 4790K.

I'm surprised to read so many good things about this game. The gameplay is as bad as it possible to be and the story is beyond stupid. That and it totally failed to deliver the story with multiple paths it promised to give.

Core i7 4790K + GTX770.
With high settings the frame rate is averaging around 50 fps and doesn't seem to go under 40. Not that good for my computer but finally playable.
By the way I still have crazy input lag with v sync enabled.
