I remember using TeamSpeak [External Link] roughly 15 years ago for online gaming clans. Never pictured I would be switching back to it due to the enshittification of an objectively better service.
Oh well, I guess I will save $120/yr by cancelling nitro and put that towards my (underutilized) home server's electric bill. That will now self-host a TeamSpeak server for my friends. 🫡

I love Civ, but $100 for the Deluxe Edition and $130 for the Founders Edition? Both of which only seem to offer Day 1 DLC, expansions, cosmetics, and alternative character variations, rather than simply including them in the base game. Combined with restrictive Denuvo and what might very well be an always-online requirement, that seems like a tough sell, in my opinion. I might have to wait for reviews or a future sale on this one. 😵

Lately, I've been playing a lot of "Pokémon Unbound [External Link]", a Pokémon FireRed Rom Hack that rebuilds the game completely from the ground up. Using "MGBA" and "Emulation Station" to load it on the Steam Deck.
It's a fun spin on the Pokémon brand of games. With styling from the GBA days, Pokémon spanning gens 1-7, battle mechanics from gen 8, customizable difficulty, revised HM/TM system, updated visuals and sprites, and QOL improvements. Would recommend if you're a Pokémon fan and looking for a new and refreshing experience.
Friendly reminder to make sure you legally obtain your FireRed game and files before installing this mod. :)
(P.S. - Sorry if linking this mod breaks any rules, I didn't see anything about it in the rules page)

As for the paddles, all the mapping and configuration for the KK3 is handled by the controller itself. So back buttons/paddles can sadly only be mapped to other buttons on the controller. So long as your distro and app can recognize traditional controller DInput or XInput (Depending on the controller's selected mode), you should be able to use all the buttons on the controller with a little bit of extra legwork.

Quoting: Liam DaweTo my knowledge, there are no dedicated apps for any of Gulikit's products, the KK3 included. I have neither installed nor needed any supporting applications to date... Updates to the controller's firmware, for example, are handled via a USB connection to a computer and booting the controller into a removable storage mode. After which the firmware can be manually downloaded from Gulikit's support site, transferred over to the controller, extracted, and applied with a reboot.Quoting: Pickettf3nceThe "Gulikit KK3 MAX [External Link]" is a great alternative for those of us in the US or UK.Do their paddles actually fully work on Linux and Steam Deck without needing an external app like 8bitdo?
L3, L4, R3, R4 detachable rear paddles, toggle-able hair triggers, analog triggers, hall-effect joysticks, 8 (or 4) way d-pad, programmable macros, 3 vibration intensities, USB-C rechargeable, addressable RGB, integrated gyroscope, extra buttons to swap between Nintendo and Traditional button layouts. Support for Switch, SteamOS, Android, iOS, MacOS, and windows.
It's a night and day difference between this and an Xbox Series controller.
