Quoting: X6205Holy frikin'mecha-jesus,You do know the Crossover guys ARE the Wine guys? so any money you give them helps to fund support for Linux gaming.
Bye bye Wine, PoL or Lutris.. Bye bye super-duper-anniversary-ultimate-creators "free" Windows Update with telemetry clusterfuck and UWP junk. Bye bye NSA wankers.. I guess i don't need to renew my Crossover linux license for the next year. When i think about it, i actually have contributed to this to happen.. Wow :)
Now i just need working utility to occasionally change AlienFX colors on my X51 R2 desktop and Windows partition can rest in peace. Also need to check if new XBOX One S controller will work through bluetooth.
Busy weekend ahead.. busy.. busy.. need fresh air..

I see this as a good thing, recently a developer stated they couldn't port to Linux because, in their own words, they didn't have a Linux pc, well that excuse is now null & void thanks to Steam Play, there's absolutely NO excuse for Developers to ignore Linux any longer.
ps for a long time I've been in the hate everything about Wine movement, but I've been converted.

Quoting: BoldosJust to refresh the info:Thanks for the link, I added my first game to the list this morning (hasn't shown up yet though), FLOCK! works perfectly with no tinkering whatsoever.
THIS is the "live" version of the tracking document, and it has grown 1,5 times from yesterday (to roughly 2600 test entries as of this morning; so pretty impressive so far):

Quoting: stretch611There is actually a linux native version of Torchlight. However, it is only available through Humble Store. (I have it from an old bundle.)I got that version from Humble Bundle, many moons ago too, best of both worlds. :D

I managed to break Proton earlier, after a "quick" reinstall of Proton I can get back to testing games.
Borderlands, works perfectly
All the original Doom games up to Doom3 ROE working perfectly with the usual cfg tweaks for screen resolution
Torchlight, works but crashes if you try to delete save games.
Unreal Gold, working perfectly.

I've just tried Doom3, video after tweaking the cfg is perfect, audio is a no go, I know it's early days but it's looking very promising if Valve can iron out the problems.
Torchlight runs but with no sound whatsoever.

If not, is there a walkthrough/guideline for installing DXVK ? or will the DXVK from Steam client work ?

My WishList for Proton:
- Tropico 5
- Path of Exile
- Alien Swarm
You do know Tropico 5 already has a Native build that actually works?
Quoting: lucifertdarkApart from hitting the button to enable all games does anyone know how to add games to the list of compatible games as they are tested? is it something we can do ourselves or are we waiting for Valve to add them for us?We will be enabling more titles in the near future as testing results and development efforts progress; in the meantime, enthusiast users are also able to try playing non-whitelisted games using an override switch in the Steam client. Going forward, users can vote for their favorite games to be considered for Steam Play using platform wishlisting [External Link]:D.

Quoting: chancho_zombiehey guys. Where does proton creates the bottles? I need to recreate the bottle to try without installing some dotnet cruft.According to my system Proton is 1.7Gb & the compdata folders for each game are 44Mb, instead of having a separate Wine bottle for each game they have one wine install that all games link to. Much better than a separate bottle for each game.
I guess all the games are 600mb fatter (that's what wine bottles take for system files)

Quoting: legluondunetFirst Steam Play game installed: Ultimate Doom installs and launches, no crash, no bug. It uses a dosbox with a steam overlay.I had the same thing, restarted Steam & it now works perfectly, just got to remember how to adjust the resolution.
