The Standalone package is the way I prefer it too, Snap is staying off my system till they fix it so it can't include Malware.

edit: I should have said earlier, thanks Liam for reminding me about this game, I haven't played it in a while.

Looks like 'Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive' may be coming to Linux

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTWow, that would be amazing! Actually I'd love to play this game again! I spent so many hours on that one as a child.

Also, I think people like us are exactly the ones they're targeting with such ports. It's unlikely kids will play these old games under Linux.
The problem I have with this is most of us already own a copy so they're not going to make much money by porting it, unless we all start gifting copies to strangers. ;)

I'm pretty sure it's a mistake but it showed up in my list of install-able Linux games yesterday, nothing downloaded but it's definitely on it's way soon.

Quoting: iiariHard to imagine a Linux gaming world without GOL. Everyone please donate! Thanks for all the hard work, and Happy Birthday!
Without GOL championing Linux as a viable gaming platform would Valve have even looked at it?

Playing Spelunky Classic HD on Linux is now just a Snap away
30 Jun 2018 at 6:56 pm UTC

Quoting: GuestNo need to install this (snap). You can get the game from itch.io.

(And they even have a client for installation, which seems to be the most important thing for many....)

SCNR
I think I'm having one of those days today, reading but not having it sink in properly, thanks for the pointer. :D I now have it & even after all this time I still suck at the game, hahahaha.

As much as I'd like to play it I'm not having Snap on my system, Malware on Windows is enough of a headache for me without adding it into Linux with Snap.

Techland haven't decided if Dying Light 2 will be on Linux

Quoting: yar4eIn case they'll not port it to Linux we have WINE + DXVK ;)
And will just give them the excuse they need to not port it to Linux.
