Quoting: EgonautMy point wasn't the prize, but lucifertdark's statement that all games in the complete pack would be added to Fusion. And that is, as I wrote, wrong.I could have sworn they said they were porting all their games to Fusion, looking at the store page I was wrong & it's only from the HD versions going forward, still the complete pack is worth having just in case they do decide to add the older games somewhere down the line.

Quoting: GuestDoes it make sense to get Buy Serious Sam Complete Pack BUNDLE for Linux players or should we only get the few games listed for Fusion? This whole thing is a bit confusing.Yes it makes perfect sense to buy the bundle, everything is being added to Fusion over time, so eventually you'll be able to play the whole lot in Linux.

Quoting: GuestI can't really access steam from work, but I don't think this game will need Vulkan unless the dev wants to use it as a testbed for future games that do need it (i.e for learning). It would be better to use OpenGL most likely - faster to port, more stable drivers right now, and more hardware support on older computers that should still be able to play this.Anything but DirectX would be better as a starting point for them to port to Linux

I prefer the Left4Dead games but it's a fun game to play for a couple of zombie blasting rounds.

I just left them a comment or two on the steam discussion about Vulkan. I don't expect much of an answer as it's already been 5 years since the game was in the Humble Bundle.
IO Interactive retains the rights to HITMAN and becomes fully independent

Quoting: EhvisYou know that never even occured to me, I wish IO & Feral a long & productive career in Linux Game ports. :DQuoting: lucifertdarkLooking at it on a strictly financial basis, Square Enix were the ones who bankrolled the Linux port of Hitman, ...I'm not so sure about that. It seems more likely to me that Feral paid for their own development of the port and earns back this investment from the sales. This arrangement makes it much more likely for a publisher to agree to the port.

Looking at it on a strictly financial basis, Square Enix were the ones who bankrolled the Linux port of Hitman, so without their large wallet IO Interactive will have to rationalise what platform they can afford to develop for, a Windows only game is guaranteed to keep the lights on, we might not just lose the next Hitman in this, Feral could easily vanish as well, I really hope I'm wrong.
HITMAN will have the first location available completely free later today

This would have been a good way to get new players when the game was first ported to Linux.
I've already finished the main storyline of season 1 & I can't wait to see how the story plays out in Season 2 if we ever get it.
My wallet is already crying in the corner knowing the summer sale is fast approaching. ;)

Flatpack & Snappy seem a little surplus to requirements to me, don't get me wrong if Ubuntu goes full on Flatpack or Snap I'll use it but as long as the current install/uninstall system works I want to stick with that & not have to uninstall the others every 5 minutes because they chose to reinstall it again for the fifth time without asking.

That would go a long way to explaining why when I tried the map the other day it took me straight back to the main menu.
