Are you saying you bought it before it worked on Linux? I don't understand why you say this game is being "added" to a list of games you'll "never" play. Clearly, the developer never said they gave up.

I've been, I guess, medium interested in this game for the past several years. If it came out to Linux, I would strongly consider buying and playing it for the reason Liam mentioned: 3D RPG's on Linux are rare.
knee jerk reaction is all it was, pay me no heed. ;)

Tell that to the 100Million people killed by Stalin.
Niggling about ludicrous totals aside, Stalin was certainly a very bad dude and certainly a boss of a Communist country/empire.
Hitler was also a very bad dude who also killed lots of people and was certainly the boss of a Capitalist country.
I don't infer anything in particular about the characteristics of Capitalism from Hitler, it would be silly. Similarly, it does not tell us anything about the characteristics of Communism to shout "But Stalin!!1!"
It does actually, it proves Communism isn't a good thing to be involved with.

Quoting: EhvisThe sneaky thing is that this release is tagged with Linux support, but a lot of the DLC (including most heists) are still not available for Linux.

I have the base game (since before it was free), but never played much. I'd be interested in joining a noob (friendly) squad to check it out.
They may not show up in the DLC list in Steam but they are usable in the game, I have everything & it's all there in game.

It looks like I was a bit premature with my last comment, I just fired it up & it plays better for me now. Oh & with the most recent patch 258 I think the music is working for me.

I was given the game as a Christmas present & I'm still waiting 6 months later to be able to actually get any real play time out of it, the performance on the Linux port sucks so badly I'm almost tempted to fire up Windows to play it. Even after doubling my Ram & getting the fastest Quad Core processor my motherboard can handle it still sucks.
