Before the patch it was unplayable for me, after the patch it doesn't go below 60fps, now I just have to play it & find out what the heck is going on. :D

What have you been playing recently and how is it?

Addictive free Battlefield-like FPS 'Ravenfield' has its second beta available, some thoughts

Quoting: PicoboomI adore the brightly colored toy-like look of the soldiers and the simple, chunky world. I hope the game retains these characteristics as development continues (and I do hope it continues). Given the privileged place of "realistc graphics" in the design of the typical FPS, it would be refreshing if the gameplay (which absolutely must introduce multiplayer to be worthy of the title's Battlefield allusion) were to become polished and sophisticated --- perhaps even somewhat realistic --- but remain dressed in these simple graphics.

Gonna keep an eye on this, Liam. Good find!
Why not have both? have the toybox soldiers as well as the realistic soldiers & let gamers switch between them as they please?

This is one I am going to buy as soon as it hits Linux, I've been a Warhammer fan for longer than I really want to think about as it makes me feel old. ;)

Transport Fever has a new trailer showing of all it can do, coming to Linux this fall

OpenTTD might just have some competition after 22 years of dominating the transport genre, I'll definitely be giving this a look once it's out.

Latest Steam Hardware Survey shows Linux has grown, by a tiny amount (updated)

Another month where I didn't get the survey, they really need to do it once every couple of months with every single steam user included, then we'd see how "small" the Linux community really is.

Hard Reset Redux is not coming to Linux despite appearing in SteamDB

Quoting: slaapliedjeFortunately I only look at the Windows desktop long enough to launch Steam, then whatever game I'm planning on playing.
Why not stop the desktop from loading & just go straight into Steam big picture mode instead?
