Quoting: tuubi
Quoting: lucifertdarkI might be alone in this but I really enjoyed the original Fable.
If you mean the original 1996 adventure game, no you're not alone. It wasn't the best adventure game around, but had some fresh ideas, iirc.

(Yeah, I know you mean the other one.)
I did mean the Microsoft one, I missed the 1996 game, I was busy playing Doom & Transport Tycoon at every opportunity at that time.

Torchlight II Has Even More Positive Signs For Linux

Not really a surprise that the Torchlight games are similar to Diablo as they've been developed by some of the people who worked on Diablo.

Not sure I'll have anything to do with Elite Dangerous, I still haven't forgiven Braben for Frontier First Encounters. I have the X3 games but haven't really had the time to put in any time on them.

C4 Engine Drops Linux Support, Developer Says Linux Is Inferior
13 Jan 2015 at 4:17 pm UTC

I have a few questions....

1. What distro of Linux was he using before he failed to install Ubuntu 14.04?

2. Why did he try to change to Ubuntu if he already had a working distro?

3. In what way did the install fail?

4. What is this well known bug that caused the failure?

5. Why didn't he go back to the original distro & still continue support for Linux?

6. Why did he NOT ask for assistance on public forums if he was having problems instead of just moaning about it & ripping out the code for Linux, possibly causing more problems in the process?

Someone who is unable to work their way through the simple installer that Ubuntu uses probably should keep their comments out of the public eye, don't you think?

Amazing, Ubuntu 14.04 for me takes 40 minutes start to finish on a clean install including running apt-get update to bring it up to date.

The last time I had trouble installing Ubuntu was 9.04 which I just couldn't get to install no matter what I tried.
