What I find interesting is that it applies to any user base size, includes hobby OSes, and could even apply to a rescue disk OS if it allows downloads from say, flatpak for instance. I suppose the rescue OS could just disable internet or try to claim it is "enterprise software".

He says natively, so maybe it will work fine with proton. I wouldn't pre-order for something like this, but rather see if others are able to get it working after release. It is one thing for something that will likely work, but preferably better to wait till a game is out and others indicate it is working. Some people dual boot afterall.

I generally only use keyboard mouse for first person games. 3rd person and platform games I use a controller.
As to a steam controller 2, I’d love to see something based on the steam deck controls. I don’t have nor plan to get a steam deck as gaming is something I do at home on a big screen, but the controls look very usable. Preferably something that is easy to replace the sticks would be a requirement too.

Quoting: MohandevirThe developers is welcome to implement both FSR and DLSS and DLSS isn’t required for the RT. It just looks better upscaled than with FSR. NVidia claims they don’t limit that. AMD on the other hand... DLSS3 only added frame generation. If NVidia implemented DLSS across platforms it would look alot like XESS. Looks good on 1 platform and so-so on everything else. Then they’d get shit for “degrading” it on competing platforms. Maybe FSR3 will look better than FSR2 and still work everywhere. We will see.Quoting: jeisomWhy are there comments about vendor lock-in. This should work just fine on an RDNA2 or newer gpus, if be a bit slower. RT is part of the vulkan standard afterall. The problem is DLSS. I much prefer an open source standard like AMD FSR whenever I can:
"DLSS 3 is exclusive to Nvidia's “Ada Lovelace” RTX 40-series graphics cards"
Thus, vendor lock-in. Keep in mind that much of that new stuff about RTX is tied to DLSS 3.5.

This looks really cool. Hopefully it is more performant the CP2077 rt overdrive.
