The Crew Motorfest plans to be Steam Deck Verified for November 5
4 Nov 2025 at 10:02 am UTC

I didn’t liked the crew game until I try this one.
For me it’s the best free roam currently in the market. It’s better than FH5 (but not better than FH4). If you can have a look, I recommend it.

For additional info : starting the 5 November, if you own a game you can invite 3 friends to join you and play together, even if they don’t own the game (like a guest pass). There is only need to one owner of the game to be able to play all together.

About UE5 and Race Game : too much pop in.
The UE5 is « amazing » to look at until you drive at 200km/h and the engine had to generate a lot of pop up for shadow. Grass. Object in front of you. It’s why Kunos move from UE (in ACC) to their own engine (in AC EVO) so it’s surprising they let their friends going to UE5 for this spin off

I remember Kunos saying UE is not a good engine for simracing a couple of years ago…

But why you wanna play a PS5-level game on small, ps4-like gaming device?
I’m sorry but if I can remind you that LTU 2 was first released in PS4 and was impressive about his graphics despite been in a very old console for it time.

So I think it could be great to have this on Steam Deck if we are able to get at least what the PS4 version was able to delivered. Which is still impressive if you watched it. Even for today.

The EchoPatch to modernize F.E.A.R. adds in gamepad support
24 Mar 2025 at 11:14 am UTC

I did all the F.E.A.R. Videogame the same day during Covid to see how it feel in 2020-2021 and. Damn it was sooooo good. I mean : the first episode.

And it make me also going back in time. When we got Far Cry, Fear, Half Life 2. The PC Gaming videogame was something. And then, you start F.E.A.R 2 and - even if the game is still good - you can easily point that moment when the game industry decide to work on console and port on PC.

FEAR is amazing. IA is good. The fact everything can be destructed. You have a real « matrix » moment everywhere. The wall can tell you the history of the battle. The IA talk. Can send you a grenade and even sent it back to you if they are close. Still today the best IA in a FPS.
FEAR 2 lost the IA. Also the possibility to jump (no kidding). HUD take half the screen. FOV is bad. And it was how videogame was during the PS360 moment.

Before that we had PC game and console game. And PC was ahead of the console time.
Then we had this PS360 time where the pc game goes a huge downgrade on everything until the PS4 generation start to provide the same service with a better game. Fear is the greatest exemple of this time.

Also I’m struggle to imagine playing the first FEAR with Gamepad support with the IA that smart. But maybe it’s just me.

And FEAR 3 is really the worst thing ever. Don’t even try it. I try it. It was bad. Really bad. Really really bad. Worst than what people told me about.

Control Ultimate Edition is adding HDR, ultrawide, FOV scaling, updated DLSS and DLAA
11 Mar 2025 at 12:09 pm UTC

Well the Remedy been an Epic Store Exclusive is « maybe » because Epic Game edit their game now ? So it’s a bit complicated when the editor own the platform.

For the Nvidia vs AMD, Control, as far as I remember, is the first game to integrate DLSS and Ray Tracing with huge Nvidia partnership, so I’m not surprised.

Remedy still make good game. Control is really good, Alan Wake 2 was a very nice surprised, for once a old-school studio for the 90´s keep doing good game. Asking for a studio to be dead because of the technology they use is pretty hard.

Trailmakers 2.0: Pioneers is out now and it's like a whole new game

Well for Cyberpunk the 1.6 version still exist.
On Steam you have to go to properties and then beta en select the last 1.63 « legacy » patch.
In GOG also you have access to older version previous 2.0.

CDPR is doing a good job for that. When they change native mechanics they let you go back in time to previous version. Some game are good doing it. Factorio also.

It’s just the « beta » menu in Steam who is used for something else than « beta ». It’s more a « version » tab. Sometime you have really interesting stuff.

Keep an eye on that in case you want to go back in time when a huge patch is release. I’m not sure for the game here but for the one you mention - Cyberpunk - I just check for you and can confirm you can rollback to 1.63
