People seem concerned that something may break, but iirc steam runtime versions are always preserved the same as proton versions (and you can manually enforce what version to use for linux native games) and a lot of games can just keep using 3.0

So I did check the achievements
Over 25% have beaten the final boss
Over 20% have achievements that I also have that I thought go a bit into the more obscure late game completionist stuff
Over 14% did a 100% run
2.5% did the no death run
Those numbers sound very high to me, especially the last one
edit: also probably worth mentioning that 39% got to the first credits screen. I can totally see myself just being done at that point without giving it much thought, and I think that's exactly what I did when I played Hollow Knight, I liked it but never cared enough to look up anything about the game. This time with Silksong I got obsessed to the level that happened when I first played Dark Souls, that is I still find myself watching random lore videos and stuff like that

I'm surprised in general that Linux Mint is ahead of Debian (testing / unstable)I would be surprised if something that is explicitly unstable was significantly popular. Iirc every more or less official Debian related place tells you not to use those unless you really know what you're doing in a way that makes Arch or Fedora much more appealing if you want fresh packages

So wonky, I love it. It almost feels like the video game version of deep wisdom memes that go like "I'm cringe but I'm free" or "you have to accept your cringe before you can truly grow as person" or something

Being able to see anything is for the weak. But also yeah it's kinda tempting to do another playthrough

edit: actually I was wrong, the game is still infuriating, although it's still not really because of the tight timing and reflexes, but for other reasons that are arguably infinitely worse

I no longer have the reflexes to play games that require a high twitch factorIn my experience Silksong is not an exception to the general rule that most games known as hard don't need any reflexes as long as you spend a bit of time learning what the enemies actually do. In fact, Silksong may be easier than Expedition 33 in this sense because there is no parry mechanic.

Sure would (and would have already) tipped extras in many ways if GOG truly supported Linux. An official Linux client to show it. But no. They do not.At this point I think they shouldn't make a Linux client, and instead completely abandon their own client and only endorse Heroic launcher, including on Windows. I don't remember if Heroic has already implemented GOG achievements and networking but pretty sure they're at least getting close

it may be time to remember/find how to run steam flatpak using mesa-git for early access to patches, was pretty easy to use when Returnal needed a workaround iirc

speaking of Fedora KDE, I've installed Kinoite on my mom's laptop after manjaro finally died in a tragic update, enabled automatic updates, and today I looked at this laptop for the first time in a while, and it was actually updated (except still on F41 which is fine) while completely unattended and perfectly safe I guess, great stuff

This sounds a lot like what I've had on my AMD desktop with at least 6.12 and 6.13, completely random and impossible to reproduce freeze on waking from suspend. Maybe it will fix that too.
