Why on earth do these sites keep the ID scans?? Validate the user, save the date date and a 'yes valid' checkmark. Then delete the damn id.

Baldur's Gate 3 gets a Native Linux version to improve it on Steam Deck

*cries in Ubuntu Desktop*

It works with Proton but there are a LOT of little annoying issues especially with multiplayer.

7 years later, Valve's Proton has been an incredible game-changer for Linux

On the other hand, it has completely obliterated any chance we'd ever have native ports ever again, and I'm not even sure it has given Linux more visibility...
Even being a Linux user myself, I always thought it was a stretch to want Linux Native ports when Linux sits around 3%. And getting usage up is pretty hard if there are no games. Proton is bridging the chicken vs egg problem & the Native ports will come when more people are running a Linux flavour as their daily OS.

I'd like to see something like an "activity heartbeat". Plotting things like community posts, game updates & news posts into a subtle coloured graph line of the last year's worth of activity.

Here's hoping the dev considers the game to be *done* soon & moves on to Haunted Chocolatier. 🤞

Quoting: nwildner
Quoting: sherriwI love this game so much. Works great on Linux. We have 2 copies on Steam & I was planning to buy it on Switch for the kids when it comes out. But wow I was shocked to learn that the console version won't have split-screen multiplayer! If any recent game was absolutely perfect for split-screen it's this one.
What to you mean "console version will not have?". Is there any information on the forums related with the PC version having split-screen available, or because you are assuming split-screen should be a must on consoles only?

Honest question here, no bashing :) I would love to see couch co-op on this game as well.
Hmm. I guess it was more a matter of my hopes being dashed. I know the PC version doesn't have split-screen.

We recently enjoyed games like Ruins of Tasos & Children Of Morta that *do* have split-screen so I was just thinking of this as a no-brainer.

When we played it was with an adult group of about 6-8 of us and it was so so fun that I wanted that for my kids.

I didn't take it as any kind of failed promise from the devs. Just wish it had been on the roadmap. :/

My husband has been playing the Hell out of this on Switch. He's going to flip when I show him this. 😈

I wonder if this one has co-op...
