NonSteamLaunchers adds support for HoYo and Nexon launchers, easier EA App repairs

Always nice to see the Linux experience getting easier and more streamlined. I have only dabbled with Linux before Proton released but I do remember struggling to get some games run under Wine. So it's nice that nowadays you can say "just use this" and get access to hundreds of games over many different storefronts. Bonus points for automatically adding games to Steam for even better user experience.

It's genuinely exciting to see pain points for new users getting addressed.
Also, given that HoYoverse games seem to be getting more relaxed in regards to anti-cheat, having the launcher included could possibly be a big boon.

Proton Experimental gets fixes for EA Launcher, Starfield: Creation Kit, The Finals

The Finals is an odd one. Anti-cheat breaks every other update, yet Valve is able to patch it every time without the developers. If the anti-cheat isn't configured correctly, it wouldn't even run under Linux. I do wonder what the actual issue is. Maybe the build process configures stuff slightly differently every single time or something.

Quoting: Claude_LibThat's good. Wonder how it's gonna handle SteamOS-like distros like Bazzite, or HoloISO, or ChimeraOS.
The Steam Year in Review showed my ChimeraOS playtime as a Steam Deck. Unless that changed, those distros pretend to be a Steam Deck unless it's in desktop mode.

The Helldivers boycott sure was effective.
I have friends that still can't buy the game due to the regional limitations. But everyone gave themselves a pat on the back after a single tweet and forgot about that immediately.

But hey, it's not like that was the main argument everyone was making, right?

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 adding EA AntiCheat, breaking it on Steam Deck / Linux

Given how old the game and relatively small the player count is, that's the main concern in my eyes.

I don't really care about newer games but this might really suck. I enjoyed Battlefield 1 until now but it's probably ready for the chopping block.
