Well, I wouldn't mind buying the game, except the only way seems to be to enter my credit card details on their custom payment form, which makes me feel a bit uneasy... No paypal or other "popular enough to be considered safe" payment system?
And so, if I can get a key here, interested as well. :)

I saw this game mentioned on a french "game review" show recently. The show makes it look boring and I have to admit it doesn't appeal to me as well, unless there are some gameplay elements I'm missing...
Anyway, for those who understand French, it's a funny video on various simulation games: http://www.joueurdugrenier.fr/joueur-du-grenier-les-simulations-pc/ [External Link] :)
edit: This is probably how I would have fun with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=omgc8M2NESs [External Link] ^^

Why no offline map editor? :(
It may not be always-online DRM, but it still would have been nicer to have an offline editor. Online should only be necessary to share maps or work together on one.

Just finished the demo. It's quite fun and controlling two characters at the same time works surprisingly well (altough I imagine the full game will contain levels where it gets a lot harder).

Ah, ok, I see...
Did a Google search for THQ humble bundle, found new humble bundle up, saw list of games, video, thought I had landed in 2033 where the Humble Bundle brings out cross-platform AAA games, getting more and more excited,
then saw the Windows only mention, ended up very disappointed. :(
At least it was indeed the only thing THQ called up in my mind initially, but I just couldn't see how it related to the Humble Bundles: the company behind Supreme Commander. (edit: oh, just publisher, developed by Gas Powered Games)
Well, no wonder I didn't know about it. No news about it here (very legitimate) and no e-mail notification. Nice to know they took my OS selection into account.

Quoting: "Kristian, post: 6868, member: 390"I got this, just because of the whole THQ thing. Since these guys seem to value the same principles the Humble Bundle guys used to.THQ thing? What's that?

I understand the need for moderation, but unless the post was somehow offensive or contained illegal material, a simple ban or thread lock seems like enough.

Quoting: "Anon, post: 5907"Why the disappointed face? I understand the distinction between GNU and Linux, but well, have you seen the posts there? I'm glad no one here is claiming it should be 'Gaming on GNU/Linux' and the freedom post was about everything being free and not about the freedom to choose. Also, I can't remember which, but one was by a profile called Richard Stallman, so it's good it was removed, as it was someone impersonating with the obvious attempt at trolling.Well, it was mostly because it felt like things were being censored. And maybe because I was kind of curious what the post about freedom said.

[This is getting a bit off-topic, but why do you consider them to not be 4X games?
I only tried Widelands and FreeCiv (without ever understanding how to play it) shortly, but I have played Settlers 2 and Anno 1602 quite a bit, on which Widelands and Unknown Horizons are based to my knowledge. Both of them involved eXploring, eXpanding, eXploiting and eXterminating (more or less). And FreeCiv and FreeCol are mentioned on the wikipedia 4X page.
That being said, I never played Master of Orion...]
